  I'm guessing that ADM gets a constant stream of updates from sellers and checkouts from buyers. At the point in time that you confirm your order they create the orders to the sellers, decrement the available amount if the seller has posted a quantity available, and issue a credit card authorization request which returns in seconds. If the credit card fails then they can simply call "rollback" on the database to undo all the changes at once. While waiting for the credit card, all the items are locked in the database so any other checkout would wait for the previous checkout to succeed or fail.   It isn't that you can't find somebody to offer you the wholesale price. It is that many sellers on ADM are offering titles for just over wholesale and sometimes less than wholesale. Some of these are companies getting special deals right now to move inventory. Some are back-door deals paying cash up front direct from the studio (driving around porn valley). Still more are re-importing export goods because the price for pre-paid export is much lower than the domestic price for many if not most studios. There are even some heavy hitters with "dist" in the name that would seem to cut out the retail shop. ADM is not a bad place to sell off used or extra copies of titles so you get something back.   Most adult content is shot with an HD camera even if only released on DVD. That way they can claim "Shot in HD" on the cover. The early Blu-Ray content was from a 1080i camera. Haven't checked recent videos. We have a lot of people that rent from us prior to purchase their first BD. how great it is being able to see blades of grass on the golf course this doesn't always translate to pimples on a girls ass.

  Although titles that rent for more than $5 per week are not technically included in the monthly plans, we usually throw them in after the initial new release demand has subsided and we have many copies available. Multi-disc rentals are sent with all discs in a combo-sleeve and each disc counts toward the disc max on the plan. However, if you only have one spot available and the next available item is a multi-disc title then our system will over-allocate your plan and send you the title but your next shipment will not occur until your plan is again below the maximum discs allowed. Hopefully this clears up any confusion on what is and is not included on the rental plans. <link>

  @stizzy While I empathize with your position, do keep in mind that the local video store on a 2-3 day rental can turn the title 8-10 times a month where as mail times only allow us to turn it 2-3 times a month. They also do not have to contend with the significant amount of breakage and loss at the hands of the post office. It brings a tear to the eye to see a gay title that costs 3x as much as a straight title returned with a large crack in it. The local video store is also limited on what they can carry based on available floor space where we try to carry a very large selection. As far as the weekly separate purchasing budget, they can only reserve one copy of each title for a maximum of 24 hours and only on titles where a copy was purcha...

  Well, my queue is above 30 titles. How many do I need to queue? I don't want to queue too many as I want to make sure I have a chance at my top selections. Simply queue any and all titles you want to watch and put titles you are most interested in at the top. Our allocation process will automatically pick the highest item on the list that is in-stock at that moment (no matter the wait status). Having many titles in your queue will not hurt. Our rental programs are designed to be a set-in-and-forget-it type system that allows you to have a constant stream of titles. If you email webmaster@xrentdvd.com with email address you use on our website then we would be happy to look into the specific titles at the top of your queue that seem to be always skipped. The problem with being such a long time customer is that there is a bubbling up effect of problem titles. We have problems with only a small fraction of titles for various reasons. We do our best to keep up with postal damage, recognizing when customers keep a title longer than expected because they like it, and titles that are just hard (or unusually expensive) to reacquire.   This is largely just a display change. We have not changed our purchasing title depth. The reason for the display change is because titles where showing as &quot;Now&quot; even though there were more people that wanted the title than we had copies. We would get email complaints about the website saying &quot;Now&quot; and why didn't we ship it to them. The new wait status takes into account the number of people wanting the title since at least some of them will get their next choice instead. Many of the titles on your queue will ship when you have an available slot even if they have a wait status. We recommend that you simply put your most desired titles at the top of your queue rather than trying to manage based on wait status. The change ...

  The problem isn't just where you are sending the items, it is what address(es) you need to give the retailer. If your credit card has a billing address other than the PO Box then you will need to give them that address so the transaction goes through. It is important to deal with retailers that keep ALL your information private (as we do). The good news is that adult catalog companies (those that sell by sending catalogs in the mail) are much more scarce now. Instead of your physical address being the target, it is your web browser (via adware) and email address (via junk mail) that get hit.
