Is there a way to contact sellers before you've placed your order? I'd like to know if they can ship dvds + covers (w/o cases). I can't see a "contact seller" anywhere

I just received my order: to be fair, they shipped it fast (US to France, IIRC they were slower back in the days) and all the discs, DVD-Rs from the classics they license exclusively, not only play fine, but the picture quality is the best possible (looking grea on Essex and Caballero stuff, for instance). I'm assuming they use the best source possible - the anti Alpha Blue Archives, if you will. Edited by - wodgers on 10/13/2009 4:55:09 PM

as discussed in another thread, can you confirm that they never/rarely send artwork with used dvds? (don't care for cases - i even prefer no-case shipping)

i could finally register again for free, via the moviefilmfest page, that allowed me to enter a new pw without having to pay for membership renewal (unlike the excalibur pages that i visted a few weeks ago). Even my 4-year old wishlist was still there. Makes no sense, but everything is back on track. All have played perfect with the exception of a handful bought from "Barelyused". Some of which appeared to have been treated like a hockey puck. Since i'm mainly interested in their exclusive(?) movies (from Wet, Essex, Hollywood etc..) and noticed that 99% of them are available either for $4.44 from Excalibur or 50 cents less from BarelyUsed, would you recommend to stick to the "new" disc/ Excalibur route? Thanks

just a quick note to add that the french titles of the original Laetitia videos are sometimes added in the comments of the dvd description: for instance the hotstore.fr description of the "PETITS TROUS AU LAVANDOU. N.01/02" dvd includes the following comment: "This reissue includes Intimit viole par une femme N 17 and Belles A Jouir N 11 " so why is this dvd labeled as part of the "Lavandou" series... i never understood why Imamedia retitled most (but NOT ALL) of the vids: there's no logic. At first, I thought that the company had legal issues with Michel Soulier &/or Laetita (or maybe it's a Laetitia vs. Soulier feud?). A porn store owner in Marseille told me that there was something hazy in the deal between &...
  • Alpha Blue's Seka Triple Feature 4: must avoid? 9/3/2009 9:06:37 AM
unless i'll find screenshots online revealing a surprisingly "good-looking" disc here or there, their dvds are going to be deleted from my wish-lists from now on. something escapes me: their releases appeal to only a small portion of porn consumers (+ possibly the exploitation/cult crowd), and there's no reason this audience should be less discerning than the average porno fan. Haven't they heard about cyber word of mouth, negative feedback spreading at internet speed?

actually, not a single dvd-r i received from them was defective: i still play all of them now (4 to 7 years old). In other words, give me an Excalibur dvd-r anytime over a Caballero dvd (can't play on my computer 4 times out of 5)) Edited by - wodgers on 9/1/2009 12:06:19 PM

i was a huge customer from the early to mid 00's, and thought their dvd-rs were great (provided the source was too, typically releases that were originally shot-on-films; otherwise you can't polish a turd), it seemed they always had the best source available (contrary to Alpha Blue Archives, who take pride in often releasing the worst source available). When you compare their version of Flesh Dance with the Gourmet dvd released a couple years ago, the Excalibur dvd-r looks better. However, something strange happened one day: i got an email stating that i had to pay for my account renewal, in other words i had to pay to place all subsequent orders. That Kafka thing was too much for me. Too bad. Edited by - wodgers on 9/1/2009 11:00:01 AM
  • Miserable customerservice at erodvd.nl 9/1/2009 10:49:58 AM
from my expericne (including very recent orders) backorder / uncomplete orders are frequent: however you get your money refunded (it's not like they still hold your money and wait for the item to be available to send it). Poor customer service indeed. I specifically requested a "no case" shipping several times, received a "ok" reply, and each time I received a bulky parcel with cases included. Unbelievable. this is the ONLY reason i don't deal with them more often
