  ^ Off topic... perhaps it's a non-starter with 2 pages in 3 years, 4 months. Only restarted recently. Oh yes, the significant difference to mainstream, that there are actors that can be evaluated in so many ways about their performance.   I don't think many ordinary people know how to review anything from mainstream films, music/albums, stage shows and plays (if that's your thing). Quite commonly any of them is given 0 or 1 out 10 for no good reason. So it's not something that is restricted to porn. Though few other mediums have a community like we have here, where fans can provide feedback and share their thoughts, appreciation. What makes it even more unusual is professionals in the industry are, or have been part of it. That has it's downsides as some comments could take offence or things to heart. The result for March is odd, it looks the smallest range, i.e. best performing month, but it has the most outlier ratings. June and December generally seem to have the greatest range.   ^ These are from ratings since April 29, 2023 (167 values). I could have gathered more information, i.e. since the beginning, but I really wanted to know how it is doing recently. Still it could be an exercise to see if anything has changed "in quality." as much as ratings indicate that. That's what the box plots seem to show, January releases are "better performing" than other months, particularly December. Is that just the effect of a calendar year and viewer psychology? It's possibly a little inaccurate because there aren't an equal number of months (4x May, June, July; 3 x April, August–December), still the number of releases per month is relatively the same.   ^ I've always considered that viewer ratings are not a good method for finding out good scenes, but there's not really much else these days. There aren't many sites that allow comments any more. While some site that allow reviews don't get many, possibly it's a step to far (I'm thinking of AdultEmp here.) I saw the statistical analysis of Girlsway 2013-2024 by blackdragontea, which took account of comments, views, likes etc. When Girlsway/Adult Time provided numbers of dislikes, up until quite recently, I found that they vastly round up the percentages.   Viewer ratings for All Her Luv over that last couple of years. <image> Thus over the last 2 years 75% of scenes are rated 80–94 with a median of 88 (slightly closer to 94, but pretty much in the middle) Doesn't seem to be much difference in ratings of couples vs poly (2 = 85.88 at 159 scenes; 3 = 81.13 at 8 scenes) Can't see that specific performers are rated higher than others, i.e the scene is rated highly because of a particular performer.   Wondered about the quality, one of those details you'd want to know before joining. There's an end-of-summer deal on at the moment.
