- looking for feedback from Toshiba owners 4/6/2001 5:24 PM Hi Tricia, I gave a Toshiba SD1600 as a gift to one of my friends last xmas, and all the problems he had were cured with a simple firmware upgrade. On my Apex AD600 player, I upgraded both the player firmware and the loader firmware and cured all of playback problems, even T2:UE. Take a gander at some of the following links: http://www.keohi.com/keohihdtv/usefulinfo/dvdplayer.html http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/ A web search will reveal tons of pages on how to do it, but be forewarned that you can KILL your player if you do the upgrade wrong, just like flashing the BIOS on your PC.
