  I know i'm over simplifying the situation here to some degree as there are many other factor's like distribution networks,target audience's and as someone already mentioned,industry desire(already been burned with Blu-Ray not working out once) and resources etc etc at play,but i still can't fully understand why companies like Vinegar Syndrome find it viable to release golden era adult films(i wouldn't personally call ALL of them"classics") on Blu-Ray,and i'm assuming it is viable as they are doing more now than ever before.Yet porn producers don't consider it viable?   I've often wondered why every other DVD has "SHOT IN HD" proudly displayed on the cover,clearly it impresses some people.

  I remember when imdb used to distinguish mainstream films that were shot on video buy putting a (V) after the title,so that people knew they would have a more amateurish look to them(that look is how i like my porn to look),not sure if they still do it now as this was before digital video camera's arrived that could replicate the "shot on film" look you get when you,well,shoot on film.

  Yes,i knew i would struggle to explain and put into words the kind of picture quality i like,let me try and explain another way,i like the picture to look like it would,if the scene was happening right in front of my very eyes,like your eyes actually see things in the real world. I do not want the picture to look like(for example)a lot of the Digital Sin/New Sensations stuff does,with all that soft focused,dream like,filtered color's look,obviously that's just not how things look in the real world.   I'd like to think Blu-Ray could make a come back at some point,picture quality is hugely important to me,to the point that,i don't purchase anywhere near as much anymore (partly)because of the lack of Blu-Ray releases. However,this is not the sole reason(and this is a separate issue in itself for me,but i struggle explaining what i mean by this,so i hope someone out there "gets" me) i dislike the way the industry has generally moved towards a more "shot on film" type picture quality over recent years. I really struggle finding stuff that i find watchable(and yes I do realize that i am probably pretty much alone on this) that doesn't make me feel "distanced" from the action,i much prefer the old "shot on camcorder" type picture quality that ...

  Don't think so,unless you get a special instructions box when making an order,never used them myself yet but am currently thinking of placing an order,this is from the website buyer's guide though :- " Shipping Info The DVDs you order are shipped directly to you from the seller.   As i have mentioned on here a few times over the years,i made an order for about 16 titles with Ero and recieved an envelope with just 3 of them in it. Had the same problem getting a response from them(they said they hadn't recieved my emails)Apart from,strangely,the one in which i threatened to issue a chargeback! Eventually they refunded me for the missing items,after,many many emails. I had used them for a few years prior to that,without any problems,and it was a shame as they had previously been o.k(i always used to get really quick email responses unless it was a query about late delivery or an incorrect charge etc) I never used them gain after that occasion. Personally,i'd give it another week to allow for postal delays and then email...

  I agree with all the above,i stopped using them well over a year ago,when they charged me for 16 titles and only shipped 4. Had a complete performance getting my money back.Avoid

  I have used Xrent many,many times over the years and found them excellent,in fact they're the only company i use now. Not ordered for a while though due to the terrible exchange rate

  I ordered a Blu-Ray a few months ago and it arrived in about a week to the U.K. as they're shipped from The Netherlands. I was charged in pounds sterling at the listed price that came up when i selected that currency and pressed update basket on the order screen. I suspect your charged in the currency local to your shipping location and it's up to you to make sure you select the correct one as the prices do vary greatly from one currency to another. i.e i ordered Jesse Jane: Kiss Kiss Blu-Ray= $49.95 or Euro 39.95 or 29.95 Not sure if thats any help or not

  My last Global Priority shipment arrived in 6 days(that was about 3 weeks ago),they always have arrived in either 6 or 7 days,however my latest one is now in day 8...so your not alone.Seems to be a general delay in my post since the school holidays started

Really? How do you know that? That's what i was told by a custom's officer when i was stopped coming back from holiday a few years back.I think at the time the guidelines were more vague,i would imagine currently things are more black and white and a decision is probably virtually always made straight away without further consultation. Unless there's anything on the cover art that indicated pissing related content, why did they think it might contain such content? Although I suppose it could be that they thought the title implied an incest theme and decided to view it because of that.   Customs will watch any titles they think may be questionable and if necessary they have a "qualified professional" they can send material to,to make a decision on wether to seize or not....this is if they don't make a decision themselves at the point of interception.

  I thought the common practice was to have a "custom's declaration" on the outside of the package to state the value of the contents(this is filled in by the sender)every package i've ever ordered from the U.S has had one on it.

  I guess that maybe the big turn on for me is the nearer i can get to feeling like i'm in the same room as the performers watching them through my very own eyes in person the better...so anything that lessens that feeling be it image clarity or flesh tones are negative points in my book,it all takes the "realness"factor away...so it is kinda the same thing shark1.

  I almost mentioned Nice Rack 15 in my previous post as i was also deeply dissapointed in the look of that title after all the rave reviews it got,and i agree it is a great title,aside from the picture quality,wonder why these sorts of aspects never get mentioned by the ADT reviewers ...as i did mention Anabolic titles seem to be ok sometimes but not others....the screenshots on Orgazmik.com for Sweet Cheeks 8(another Ivan title)for example look clear as a bell,they must use different camera's for different shoots at Anabolic.Unfortunately i can only check the titles on Orgazmik that they have chosen to put screenshots up for, and so end up buying titles sometimes,that i wouldn't have if i'd been able to check first...maybe we could have a t...

  +1 Shot-on-video(i spend far too much time having to search for screenshots from titles before i buy them just lately),thanks dikdietrick for saying something i've been trying to get across to people for years but never seemed to be able to put it into the right words ....directors who i highly rate but avoid due to the look of their films include William H and Mike Quasar.On the studio side Anabolic always used to be consistently clear but are now up and down from one title to another and same applies to Sineplex.Other things i avoid for their lack of clear shot-on-video look although loving the content include Bang Bros big tit series,Digital Sin/New Sensations label in general,Alt porn generally,early Vouyeur Media releases(seems to be o...

  I've not long returned from Amsterdam and yes the redlight area does look quite different...well more scaled down really,and i think it'll be a lot smaller by the time they've finished.Noticed a few store's were closed since my previous visit,a shame really.Still worth going atm though.
