  I counted 8, but I found both her scenes disappointing. the current version of Down to Hatch is more swallowing fetish movie than an oral sex fetish movie. It's hard to see how the two could be separated from one another, but they manage to do it here. I acutally enjoy the goofiness of the series, it's more that the scenes don't generate much heat at least to this viewer. really promising cast and it just may be that it was more to someone else's taste, so to speak.

  People watch porn for a lot of different reasons. I also lean towards the "erotic" version of porn where the how it's done is more important than the what, so it's not the number of cumshots or even what tricks are done with, but whether the two people seem to be giving each other pleasure, etc. I do think the direction of a lot of the movies is more towards an approach that amounts to let's get off on what limits we can violate. Regular movies have the same thing. Some producers make movies to tell stories based on characters with emotions, etc. Some producers make movies as a carrier for special effects that are just really exciting to watch because they've never been done before.   I don't mind debating some, though I too think everyone should be free to have his or her preferences. I do understand why the act being real would matter to a lot of people. It is the basis of "reality tv" after all, even though that's closer to unscripted than actually real. I see these things as movies and the important thing to me is that I get caught up in the fantasy enough not to be too aware of whatever's been edited, faked, or CG enhanced. fwiw I liked Monica Sweethart's scene in DTT 20

  good points about the parallels between mainstream and porn. I'd only add that crossover between the porn and mainstream world didn't stop in the 70's. Orgazmo, Boogie Nights, Mary Carey running for governor all suggest some cross pollenation. Porn, itself, however seems to be moving further away from mainstream movies. In the 70's porn movies were often movie productions with 5 sex scenes. With gonzo, it's just sex with no plot, acting, almost no dialogue. The current product is more like music videos where there are real strong crossovers...between the two with pornstars and minor rock stars often intermingling.

  Back to Gunzo's theory.... I'd like to see a good history of adult movies, a history of porn would be interesting but would go back to the Egyptians. I don't think one exists at this point. Luke Ford's collection of snippets isn't exactly readable. There were a couple books, back in the 70-6-80's, but they don't cover the many changes to adult movies over the last 10 years. Does porn reflect the culture/era it comes from? I would guess that's true, but I think you'd have to be very careful. A board like this and the folks who wind up on the internet in general would lead you to believe that the vast majority of the current market is hard-edged gonzo.   This topic keeps recurring as do some of the examples, but it still seems very weird to me that there is specialty porn for tastes as seemingly unusual as 1) really large women 2) dwarves of either gender 3) Transsexuals 4) small breasted women 5)grotesquely larg breasted women 5) older women 6) asian women 7) you can probably name other combinations....missing body parts, etc. all of these groups are better represented in straight porn than Asian men.

  Video changed porn from plotted features to a medium where story and artistic values mattered a whole lot less. The DVD w/ greater ability to replay scenes, stills, etc. has probably played a role in gonzo, which I think few people watch all the way through in one setting. some marriage between the DVD and the computer seems to be next. I know there have been attempts at more interactive porn, but no one's done it well yet. I think there will be less and less resemblance between porn and "movies" as we move more towards virtual reality. fwiw, the real changes aren't things that consumers think to ask for.
