  I always buy mine at the store too (when they're on sale for reasonable prices). Either Circuit City, Best Buy, or Staples. I havent had a failed one yet either... hoping it stays that way. One of my WD drives doesn't always like to shut off when you hit the shut off button (and then I have to unplug it from the back to shut it off)... but that's the worst I've encountered thus far.

  I finally saw ASSEATERS UNANIMOUS 10 and was happily impressed! Finally a movie completely dedicated to girl on girl asseating!!!   Thanks for the reply Random! Yeah, that makes since that they are more likely to crash if they are moved around a lot. Like you, I keep mine in one spot and usually only use them when I want to access something that's on them. I don't keep them on all the time. So I'm hoping that they'll get many years.

  You guys both make valid points. The storage capacity of the HD discs and Blue Ray discs is definitely an advantage. But RandomPecision also makes another good point about whether or not all the extra space will be put to good use. In all honesty, they make for great formats to fit franchise movies all on one disc. For instance, Get all the Superman movies on one disc. Or get all the Nightmare On Elm Street movies on one disc. Or heck, get all the CumFart Cocktails movies on one disc!! :) BUT, will the studios actually do that when they know they'll make much much more $$$ by putting out each movie individually??? Bill, as for the difference... all I meant was that with VHS vs DVD you can see such a huge difference... but is the difference ...

  Yes, your supposed to get higher resolution with HD and Blue Ray... but is it really worth it? Are 90% of TV and movie watchers really going to notice the difference? It's not like were talking VHS vs DVD where there's a huge difference. I find it hard to believe HD or Blue Ray will even come close to Regular DVD sales... unless, of course, they put ou a multi format player that isn't too expensive. But Regular DVD is such a strong format with awesome quality. I think HD and Blue Ray is just another one of those things where some people get it just to be the bigshot on the block in your neighborhood. I have the bigger electric panel. I have the bigger addition. I have a bigger fence. I have a Blue Ray DVD player. :) lol.

  The Big question is... Is it really THAT MUCH better than regular DVD to even cause an uproar? Let's face is, Regular DVD is GOOD ENOUGH. The quality is fabulous! I have a 52" tv and my regular DVD's look crystal clear beautiful on it and the sound is crystal clear mint! Is HD-DVD or Blue-Ray really THAT MUCH BETTER than "almost perfect"? Seriously?
