  Hi, These wouldn't necessarily be DVD-Rs, as Excalibur digitally formats these titles. So, although on a small scale, these are manufactured discs. However, these manufactured discs, as far as my experience with Excalibur goes, should be considered VCDs rather than DVDs (i.e., the don't have interactive menus with special features and scene selections options). Although I have not bought any of your listed comps, I did buy the 80s classic "Bedrooms and Boardrooms" from them, which they themselves manufactured. All in all, they do a pretty good job.   Hi, Unfortunately, as far as I know, no definitive stats are available (publicly, that is), on adult films sales. I know that adultdvdempire.com ranks both companies and films based on gross sales, but raw numbers are not given. I heard AVN keeps excellent data on sales, but if they do, they hold on to it tightly.

  I am going to have to give a shout out for Sascha Strange. The only two films I ever saw her in were "The Adventures of Buttman" and "Army Brat 2," but memories of her gorgeous and voluptuous ass still linger. What ever happened to her anyway?

  Hi, Firstly, I really don't go into watching a porn movie with intentions to watch the whole thing. I usually just do it scene by scene in order to savor it...but, there have been two series of films that I actually sat through and watched due to great writing and intriguing plots: Taboo: American Style and the On Trial series.

  Hi, Luminous Film and Video Wurks (LFVW) now mainly deals in selling "actual" rather than "duplicate" DVDs. Anything they list in their catalogue online that is not under "DVD-R" is the actual thing. But, also check to see the region and whether the disc is PAL or NTSC (North America is Region 1, NTSC). Sorry if you already know this, but just be forewarned...I bought some of Joe D'Amato's stuff from them, and ended up having to search online for multi-region player. But, it is worth it. They sell the Euro stuff you will not find anywhere else... All the best...

  Hey, Sprry, it's tdigle again. I forgot to mention one more thing...I would definitely recommend getting Netflix if you want mainstream titles as well. Sure, it would be cheaper in the short run to use one source for rental purposes. But, due to Excalibur's horrible delivery time (I am not alone in thinking this), in the long run you would be better staying with X-rent and getting Netflix. Furthemore, Netflix has locations all over the country to serve various regions...Excalibur only has one location. All the best...

  Hello all, Well, I really can't argue against one of the people who is actually under discussion. And, after reviewing what everyone else has said, I will make a less narrow claim, which is that I definitely do notice something similar with your work Mr. Pachard and with the work of Paul Thomas. I won't go as far as to say that it is obedient homage, but I will say that there is a general ethos, for lack of better words, within both your work and Mr. Thomas' work.

  Hello all, I just wanted to open a discussion on Paul Thomas, former porn star and AVN award winning director (2005-Jenna Jameson is The Masseuse). I hear a lot of people speak of Paul Thomas as a porn genius and the closest thing the industry actually has to a true director. But, I actually believe Thomas' work is VERY, VERY similar to that of director Henri Pachard's (AKA Ron Sullivan), maybe even imitative. I believe the reason why so many people like Paul Thomas' work is because his films actually have plots and storylines which everyday, ordinary people can relate to, thus paritally erasing the border between one's wildest fantasies and one's mundane reality.   The one parody that comes to mind, since it was the best made IMO, is Edward Penishands (take off of Edward Scissorhands). It was released on DVD by Video Team in 2001. I am surprised no one has mentioned this yet! But, maybe it is a given that this parody is a classic and I am stupid for even mentioning this fact...

  I would definitely recommend Buttman's Big Tit Adventure #01 and Buttman's British Extremely Big Tit Adventure. John Stagliano shows with these films that he truly does have an understanding of fetish as a concept, even though his main obsession is with asses. Just watching Stagliano zoom in on Fawn Miller's tits in a "few sizes too small" hot pink bikini top in Buttman's Big Tit Adventure #01 substantiates my previous comment.
