^Just discovered this thread and the Tanner Mayes Blacked Out shoot was the VERY first scene that came to mind. I've partied fairly hard in the past and anytime I've seen someone in that state it's been just shy of an emergency, if it didn't become one shortly thereafter. There's never been a director I've liked who later became an automatic pass... until Adriano. It really is as though he took the worst ways of producing every element of a scene and made them standard. Even the fake cumshots... just why?? Does he legitimately think people don't realize it? Gotta give it to the Wet Food series, my favorite porn series of all time. All blowbangs. They may not be the most flat out extreme overall, but they're definitely at the top within the blowbang niche. Most importantly these scenes mastered the art of escalation imo. The majority of them get increasingly more wild and intense up through the climax, which is rare for any kind of scene to manage. I agree with this. I think the 2000s was the best era largely due to variety. There was no shortage of production of whatever genre you were into (IR, DP, blowbangs, girl on girl, gangbangs, etc), whatever type of pornstars you liked, races, body types, gonzo vs scripted, etc. As the 2010s went on we pretty much got to where we are now. Lacking diversity, mostly skinny teeny bopper chicks and scenes that are either cookie cutter and boring or just circus acts. I wouldn't be surprised if Lanksy himself thinks it's a golden age now but he's definitely an exception.
