  • Have movie rental stores faded out? 3/2/2006 7:53:31 PM
The local store I'm a member at recently phased out their adult section. They had the saloon doors and everything. I never rented porn from there though, too close to my neighborhood. I know of only one B&M adult store near me. There was one very close to me but they closed a decade ago. As far as unscrupulous characters... one time I was in there and some old dude was hanging around by the booths with his pants off. That was the last time for me. Unfortunately, my mailman complains nonstop about movies through the mail. They don't fit in the mailbox and they don't want to leave them out (it's a multi-residence building). I recently had to cancel Netflix because he insisted on shoving them into the mailbox, resulting in tons of cracked DV...

Companies do not have to pay for region encoding, at least not extra... I've authored a few DVDs using Adobe Encore and it has checkboxes for both region encoding and CSS (you can do any combo you can think of, or none at all; only one region though). I'm assuming most of the companies would be using similar software (Avid, Final Cut Pro/DVD Studio, etc). If there is region encoding, it's generally listed on the box. Some companies like to advertise that they don't have region encoding, in which case they put that on the box. If you don't see anything I would guess there is no region on the DVD. I'm also guessing that most porn companies don't do huge continuous runs of DVDs, so it's easier and cheaper to just deliver one master to the pr...

First thing you need to do... Unplug the computer from the internet, and see if it still happens. You could have someone controlling your computer via something like Back Orifice or PCAnywhere, although I would have thought McAfee or Norton would find BO. If it still happens when you're unplugged from the internet, then it's something already on your computer. Are you running any kind of firewall?
  • RLD DVDs: Installing "PC Friendly" software... 2/12/2005 3:47 PM
That hasn't happened to me, but PC Friendly can be used to link you to the company's website to buy more content, so that's probably why it happened. I always stop that thing from installing. It's on some mainstream DVDs as well.

No problem whatsoever! I can imagine it was a different shoot, because it produced a different film. Part of what made it great for me was that it was mostly performers I hadn't seen before, except for Felix, Kyle, and Katja (although Katja looked a lot different than the last time I saw her). I love it when I find new performers I like because then I have a whole new set of stuff to watch. So... why the name change?

I didn't see much in here about this film... so I wanted to encourage anyone who's at all interested to check it out. I think it's the best porn I've seen this year, but I like this kind of stuff. Definitely different than what I'm used to (and starting to grow bored with...) And it's from VCA, of all people! So... Check it out!
