  • Question regarding male porn stars 12/23/2008 5:41:35 PM
Hey guys, Just a few thoughts for ya; I recommend you don't read this unless you want to have your porn fantasies ruined, though. When you're watching porn, you're usually not watching a guy being paid to have sex with a porn star; you're being paid to watch a guy look like he's having sex with a porn star. Having sex would suggest that the guy's enjoyment, interests, or desires actually mean something (and, on set, they usually don't.) Same with the girl for that matter. Sure, there are lots of scenes where the performers are obviously having a great time, but the reality is such scenes are the exception, not the rule. When you're having sex with someone, the only people who have to be happy with how it looks is you and your partner. You'...

LubeNLuv wrote: This thread, and many others like it, just kinda make me scratch my head. Why do porn fans get so worked up over a porn star who escorts on the side? I can acknowledge the "health" concerns within the porn community when they speak out against this. That has at least some logic behind it. But porn stars have sex for money for your pleasure. What's the big deal when they decide to cut out the middleman and keep more of it for themselves with a "private showing?" Sounds like some delusional hypocrisy to me. Not a big deal to me mind you, but to be fair, there's usually a middle man when it comes to escorting, too. A porn agent usually takes 10%; an escort agency takes somewhere around 40%. A girl doesn't *...
  • How many female porn stars are iFeminists ? 12/7/2008 9:43:16 AM
Gabriella Cuntez wrote: You can have your debates about "what feminism means today" all you want. The workers in the movement get to decide what their label means. The volunteers and activists from your local shelter ladies to those undercover in Iran...they get to define the feminist movement. It's just like soldiers say: "if you haven't been in the fight, you will never get it". As a former Marine, I'll just point out that it's civilians who define the role of a soldier ;) Social movements aren't 'owned' by anyone. No one person or committee gets to define feminism; if anything, labels are mostly just buzzwords to sell magazines, books, and news ratings. Much as NOW might like to speak for all women, clearly they do n...
  • How many female porn stars are iFeminists ? 12/6/2008 11:59:31 PM
Gender equality issues, like racial, religious, sexual orientation, and similar issues related to equality all have similar underpinnings. There's a great deal of social power at stake, and everyone wants a piece of the pie. I'd like to think a day will come when the notion that gender, orientation, religious preferences, skin color, etc will be on par with hair, eye color, and shoe size. As much as I acknowledge and respect that social movements need proponents, I believe that those leaders and organizations will always have a vested interest in ensuring they have a cause to advocate. Having said that, I think it's also fair to say that misandrist feminists (man-hating feminists) attract a great deal more attention than the much larger, l...

I actually have a question about something that was mentioned a while ago. It's about the common phrase in the BDSM community "Safe, sane and consensual". Now, it goes without saying that the words "safe" and "sane" and "consensual" all must de facto mean something very different in the BDSM community than they do to those not in the community. For example, almost anyone not in the community would not consider it "safe" to be hung by your throat until your toes just barely touch the ground. Almost anyone not in the community would not consider it "sane&...

  • Talent Agency Websites 10/23/2008 5:16:13 AM
Ayup, we did. I was living in Texas, charlotte was living in California. We met in person after talking online & on the phone after about 4 months, though that had to do with our lives just being busy at that time; we could have easily met within a month, and it would have been fine. For the record, neither of us had ever been involved with the industry in any way until about six months after we met. Generally speaking and in my experience, someone relatively local (within a 3 hour drive) who hasn't met within six weeks is unlikely to do so. Just curious; why is this in the 'Talent Agency Websites' thread? Nosce Te Ipsum "The blade itself incites to violence" - Homer www.charlottevale.com

Just saw her in Fishnets 9. She's adorable, but seemed pretty awkward and the scene was lackluster.
  • Techy Talk 10/12/2008 7:16:55 PM
Thanks for the heads up Wayne. Unfortunately, (at least from the past six months) the only topics posted seem to be very general computer & tech topics i.e. "Have you tried Google Chrome?" "Why is my hard drive grinding?" "Folders look weird?" "How do you play mp3s in Vista?" Not dissing the forum, just it's not going to address the rather advanced questions I have about video editing, lighting & strobe recommendations, pre & post production considerations, etc. Regards, Stephan

  • your children & your porn...... 10/11/2008 7:12:46 PM
^Shagdog, I don't think it's a matter of people being tired of hiding sex. It's a matter of sex sells and what was provocative and risque twenty years is considered acceptable and normal in middle school. The advent of digital media and effects has rendered old the FCC regulations impotent; networks have already started broadcasting their shows live through the internet, and will have no obligation to pay a 7 million dollar fine if a boob pops out. This is the solution, and the problem entwined; selling sex does turn it into a commodity, and that is the root of the problem with teens, tweens, and children having access to pornography; that they would be exposed to sex from a strictly commodity standpoint. Pornography (generally speaking) do...

Mmmmm..... safe to assume you're 18? Doesn't that make you a child? What are you doing on an adult website?
  • why do you look at 18 year old girls born in 1990? 10/10/2008 9:03:07 PM
^ His first post says "their just little girls." Proper spelling issues aside, if he was really female, he'd have said "we're just little girls." Instead, as astutely noted, he's lumped himself in with the "little boys" instead. Stephan

Uhhhh fact? Fact: A cockroach can live several weeks with its head cut off finally succumbing to starvation. Fact: In India its cheaper to have sex with a prostitute than it is to buy a condom. Fact: The first owner of the Marlboro company died of lung cancer. Care to explain where you get your facts from? In all seriousness, I'd bet your retirement fund that at the age of 38, you too will find 18 year old women attractive. What does that make you? Stephan
