  Has anyone tried using the laser hair removal technique that seems to be pretty commonly advertised (in the LA area at least)? I knew one woman who had it done on her legs, and it seemed pretty permanent after 3 sessions a few months apart. But I'm wondering if it works well for pubic hair, and how successful it is. Apparently it's (comparatively) not that painful; it just feels like small static electricity shocks.

  Tiger, I know exactly how you feel - my first sex toy purchase was one of a vagina sleeve, and man was it HARD. I thought either something was wrong with me, or this was the stupidest design I'd ever seen! I'd completely sworn off all devices as pretty much what the fine print says "novelties", as in, ha ha, get them as a joke, right up there with the relighting birthday candles. To me, there are so few toys out there for guys that are even close to approximating a good head or vagina experience (or even a bad one!) Someday, somebody is going to produce the ultimate head-giving device.   As far as online stores go, JT Toys (now called the Stockroom) is pretty good. http://www.stockroom.com/ Living in Los Angeles or San Francisco though, I'd say the stores you can walk into are far better because you can visually inspect the merchandise first. My favorite in San Francisco is Good Vibrations (the same one that lunacy has a link to). In Los Angeles the best one is the Pleasure Chest in West LA. Some toys just are so cheap when you see them in person; you just can't tell from an online description and photo. Also, some toys are just too amazing to believe when you can touch them in person; the fleshlight was that way for me.

  Not really sex related, but it's close! I've been trying to come up with the best way to succinctly express the following to a lady whom I haven't spoken with at all: 1.   I would LOVE to do it in the morning, but all my partners so far have not been morning people. It almost always ends up happening late in the evening, which is often convenient because then we can just dose off. The absolute best though, is mid-afternoon. You can SEE everything, you've both still got plenty of energy, and when you're done, dinner always tastes that much better.

  Haven't done this often, but this combo works: Find a video with a long-running orgy scene with lots of pairings. The blind-folded orgy scene in Face Dance 1 is a great example. One person is watching the video on the couch, while the other person performs oral sex. Trade places as desired!   Oh man, this is another thing I just don't get. Maybe I'm just not versed in proper dirty talk, but it just does nothing for me. Lucid descriptions of sexual acts and other erotica are exciting, but having someone tell me what she's going to do "to me" for some reason just makes me crack up. I remember two things that came out at around the same time, both of which I thought were TERRIBLE ideas that would never make any money: 1. 1-900 phone sex lines. 2. Oscar Meyer Lunchables.   I'm not sure about the swinging thing, but as a "single but dating like I'm married" guy, I can say that yes, things do tend to taper off in frequency after the first few years. It never gets any less exciting, just less frequent. I have been in prior long-term relationships where things did get less exciting, and from what I could tell, the reason was that we weren't admitting a lot of things that were happening around us (which was why we split up also). Heavily editorializing, I must say that what keeps a healthy sex life alive is either complete mystery or an honest, interesting relationship.   Reading the PORN vs. REAL LIFE thread got me wondering about this again - why are there no videos which show a guy ejaculating inside a woman's vagina (at least partially)? I for one find have found the whole facial thing rather weird - that's one thing I have NEVER wanted to do in real life. Just what the heck is so fun for the guy or girl about it? It's almost to the point where I have to stop the video when that moment comes or I lose myself laughing! A LONG time ago (maybe 15 years?) I saw some hardcore magazine shots which showed some rather impressive images of a penis partially inserted in a woman with her on top, and the cum dripping out the bottom - I'm sure this kind of thing is just so much easier to fake with still photographs...

  DB - I totally agree that so many people place way too much emphasis on marriage as an inevitable stage of life, and if you miss it then something must be "wrong". Maybe it's because all the married people don't want us single people to have as much fun as them! Personally, I believe for myself that I've always wanted to have someone in my life, but I don't like the concept of marriage. I'll probably get flamed for this, but it seems like it has no purpose except to involve the government and/or church in a matter which should be a private matter between two individuals.   Even those of us who like anal sex can get apprehensive about it because it seems so "unnatural" even if it feels good. I can recommend a really good book which can help her feel more at ease about having anal sex, especially if she's worried about injury or long term effects. It's called Anal Pleasure and Health by Jack Morin. You can get it at Amazon or other bookstores (I found my copy at the local Borders).
