  It's another gay "coming-of-age" story, somewhat similar to Get Real, although Edge is set in the U.S. in the 80's. The above blurb is pretty accurate. I enjoyed it a lot when I saw it in the theaters. The acting is very good (especially Chris Stafford, the lead actor), the direction is professional, and the script is insightful. Nothing really new or ground-breaking -- but it's pretty good, all the same. Plus, it has a great soundtrack: "classic" 80's tunes by the Eurythmics, Flock of Seagulls, Bronski Beat, Toni Basil, etc. I'm definitely planning on adding it to my collection.

  I have an NTSC (converted from PAL) VHS set of the original 8 episode series. A woman in L.A. runs a business converting tapes, which she sells at conventions and through mail order. If anyone's interested, let me know & I'll see if I can dig up the ordering info. As for the show itself: It's absolutely the most intriguing, involving, and intelligent look at gay life in the 90's. Aside from the accents and some of the slang & British references, it might just as well be set in America. As Vince (one of the main characters) would say, "It's brilliant!"
