  I'm laughing at the number of "well I never liked the guy" posts there are. Someone somewhere liked him because he worked a shit ton and don't forget the legion of younger women who idolize him.   While I am completely ignorant about current porn, I will say that vignettes are my favorite. You got a story. You got sex. Poor features seem to bow under the weight of telling a large story and the sex or the narrative suffer. However with vignettes, there's a perfect balance. For that I will always love Elegant Angel's Sodomania series.

  Were the criminals celebrated by large, well-known organizations? Honestly curious because the only criminal artist I am familiar with is De Sade - who's works were largely destroyed during his lifetime and Polanski who has run away, continues to make films but is never super prolific. This seems to be bubbling up because of Woody Allen's honor at the Golden Globes and an upcoming honor at the Academy Awards. I get the artist vs. work thing. I am able to differentiate, but can also see that there is a difference between simply creating your art and being honored by one of the biggest film organization in the United States with a globally televised ceremony at that.

  Yup. Required by work so my answer every year will be "yes". For those of you that haven't - it's not too late. The flu ain't fuckin around this year. It's scary when people in their 30s are almost dying (some have!) and requiring intubation because of the flu. And not just one random person, many. And just at my hospital. Even a few years ago whe H1N1 hit before, I don't remember it being quite as bad. We still have to get through January and February. Edited by - savoy on 1/4/2014 11:14:51 AM
