To Faron of OGV/Men of Odyssey: I agree that most slideshow options on DVD are a waste of time; however, a bio of the performers accompanied by a filmography with photos of the performer would make much more sense, giving us useful information with the pics. If you are going to use interviews of the performers, give us genuine and interesting information. I've read several "interviews" of pornstars in some of the skin magazines and been really disgusted with what I read as I knew the performer and knew, because of knowing him, that the "interview" was totally false -- an invention of the magazine or studio to self-promote. The sad thing is that a real interview of two of the three performers I have met would have been much more intersting t...

It was sent to me by a friend in London - I assume it is available locally there in England. After reading the fine print, I've discovered that it is also in PAL format although I thought that wasn't supposed to make a difference in DVD discs. I also assume that it would play just fine on a computer-based DVD that allows software region switching. Guess I'm going to have to make another computer accessory purchase.

Gamelink.com's tape prices are high -- I didn't know about their straight DVD prices being high. Their Gay DVD prices have for the most part been cheaper than many other sites.

GameLink.com has pretty good prices on DVDs and a pretty good selection as well -- over 140 titles in the Gay DVD categories.

Queer as Folk - Brit TV series 2/24/2000 8:33 PM
I just got the 2-DVD set of the "Queer as Folk" Brit TV series. Unfortunately, it is Region 2 coded and I cannot play it on my Sony DVP-S500D player. I've heard of "modifications" that can be made to make DVD players non-regional. Does anyone know of such things and/or where I might find more information on the subject? Thanks for whatever you can suggest.

My copies of "Mystery Men" and of "The Vampire of Budapest" have arrived. They are both great, easily 5 stars! MM has 10 chapters (1 is intro, sex starts with 2) and VofB has 9 (again, 1 is intro with sex starting with 2). Both videos have a selection of stills that switch automatically, formaing a slide show with a narration by Kristen Bjorn himself talking about the making of the videos. Nice! ~ Stephan

I've just picked up the current 2000 edition of the annual Adam Gay Video Directory and the previous 5 annual issues (95, 96, 97, 98 & 99, essentially about $12 each). Based on having read a number of the reviews in the 99 edition of DVD titles with which I am familiar, their taste overlaps my own, at least in videos with themes in which I am interested. I'm going to use them as my guide before buying any new DVDs. ~ Stephan

Both of Kristen Bjorn's newest DVDs are worth owning. ManWatcher and Hot Times in Little Havana are representative of KB at his best. Island Guardian is great, too. Cam is an excellent photographer; the sex is hot & heavy. My only minor quibble here is that the editing could be a little tighter - there are times when the sex a bit protracted with result. And I love the Titan men. The multiple scenes (& cum shots) within a scene that are a hallmark of KB videos are fantastic. I wish Cam (who imitates some of Kristen's techniques) would incorporate this in his videos as well. S Thorens

So far, most of the multiple angle action has been used to include "additional bonus" scenes that could just as easily been included within the regular video except that the videos providing this feature for the most part should never have been produced anyway. YAWN! ~ S Thorens

I realized I liked guys long before I knew I wasn't supposed to -- I was 6 years old the first time and it was I who seduced my 17 y/o sleeping cousin. I had seen his girlfriend giving him head and I climbed in bed with him in the wee morning hours, duplicating her efforts. He was not amused. He also scared me into inaction for a good number of years. I had several bad experiences in high school.
