- Lowest of the low 7/11/2005 1:15 PM Hmmm, not quite tongue in cheek, but a tongue between the cheeks is more fun anyway. Edited by - robroy on 7/11/2005 1:18:24 PM
- Lowest of the low 7/11/2005 8:51 AM Thank you Veronica, my point (but expressed better than me). There seems to be a thought which goes along the lines of "either you're for porn or against it". With nothing in between. I believe exploitive porn is wrong. This means that child porn is wrong, even if the kids are enjoying it, learning about life or whatever excuse paedophiles use to justify it. In the same way I think that exploiting mentally ill, retarded or down-and-out people in porn videos is wrong. (I've only seen the intro site but they don't look like fakes to me). I'm not saying that going with street prostitutes, paying for sex or swapping booze for sex with people who are desperate should be banned, just that those who film it and then use the material f...
- Lowest of the low 7/10/2005 12:33 PM Hang on a minute... "The girls are getting paid just like regular pornstars so I don't see the difference" Well, there's a hell of a difference in the amount that the pornstars get paid compared to the junkies for a start. The finacial difference goes into the producer's pocket, now that's nothing more than exploitation in anyone's book. "I'm sure these poor unfortunate junkies and bag-ladies deeply appreciate your compassion . What a guy" Okay, what would YOU call them? Just because I don't use politically correct terms doesn't mean that I agree with exploiting people. These street people don't want compassion, they want help, and exploiting them to earn a few bucks isn't help but simply morally wrong, in my opinio...
- Lowest of the low 7/10/2005 7:49 AM I wonder how many visitors to the site are turned on by the sex and how many are just curious to see what all the fuss is about. For me, watching porn is often about putting myself in the (imaginary) position of the participants. It doesn't mean I would do it in the real world, just that I might think about what it might be like (in other words a totally imaginary, hypothetical situation). Since screwing junkies and bag-ladies doesn't appeal to me in the slightest, I can't describe crackwhoreconfessions as a porn site, but as an abuse site. The "guy" who set up the site is sick and should have the crap beaten out of him for taking advantage of these poor unfortunates, but banning the site would be a step along the road to "...
- My Rant Against Mainstream Porn 3/15/2005 9:17 AM I'm new to this forum so I hope you don't mind me blowing my own trumpet but... I occasionally give talks on "Making video erotica" at various trade shows, my qualification being that as well as being a "jobbing" cameraman I once was part of an experienced team of porn-production-professionals who started their own production company... and failed miserably. The golden rule of starting out in porn (or any type of movie production for that metter) is: "make movies you would want to buy yourself". It was knowing this rule, but failing to apply it to our productions which cost me (and my collegues) a hell of a lot of money, time and kudos. Established pornographers have often moved on from the "fun" ...
- Porn Auditions 3/14/2005 7:13 AM Don't get upset mate! The idea of setting up a studio is a good one, the problem isn't lack of interest it's that the majority of the members are in the USA, you're in the U.K.! I'm a freelance cameraman, have done a bit of erotica, and about five years ago a mate and I tried to set up our own "erotic video" company in Germany. I spent weeks listening to those who had done it and failed, weeks listening to those who had done it and got a modicum of success and weeks working out the difference. We then came up with a way of making erotica, having fun, and a profit. Then we ignored everything we'd learnt and decided to go our own way. It was a disaster at first and, by the time we sorted out what we were doing wrong, finances were i...
- My Rant Against Mainstream Porn 3/14/2005 6:56 AM I get the impression that the "rougher" stuff often appeals because the impression is given that the performers are enjoying it. Try some of the British stuff, Ben Dover (Steve Perry) for example where you have the impression that the whole shoot was a great sex session, everyone having a ball, and a camera team happened to be there (and occasionally joined in). That, for me, is far more of a kick than a "perfect" nineteen year old getting shagged in a studio where you just know that the scene was cut, stopped, repositioned and edited, with no emotion and the "actors" more worried about their performance, than having fun. PS (really Duh question here) but what exactly is the consensus about what "gonzo&qu...
- German "Skandal" sex in public series 3/14/2005 6:47 AM Yeah, I know the two series. The "Skandal" started out with the Lional Richie look-alike walking around, supposedly chatting up a woman he just happened to meet and then having sex around the corner, in a train, in a subway, etc. etc. After the first couple of episodes the pretence of meeting the woman by chance got dropped and it was just about having sex in the open. It's the first couple of episodes I want to get hold of... any ideas people?
- German "Skandal" sex in public series 3/13/2005 2:31 PM A few years ago there was a series from Magma called "Skandal" and was about sex in public places. The set-up was that the crew would try and chat-up a passing female and get her to shag the "reporter" in a public place. The first few editions were well done, the later ones resorting to using really bad actresses "oh, you want to fuck me? Okay, you've talked me into it. I never expected this whilst out shopping!" Anyone know where I can get hold of the earlier editions on DVD? (preferable european-PAL) robroy273(at)hotmail.com
- What happened to German Porn? 3/13/2005 10:33 AM Working as a cameraman in Germany I've noticed the change in conditions here. There is a serious economic depression and it has affected the erotic industry like all manufacturing businesses. The industry seems to have split into two... One half is the "plastic" side, what one contributor referred to as "manufacturing cars" a very accurate description, the intention being to produce and release a title a week for the rental market. The other side, is aimed at... cheap. Producing DVDs which retail at 5.99 or so, meaning that the wholesaler pays about 4 max for a DVD in case with cover. The sort of titles and production which I occasionally worked on, and enjoyed, aren't seen as economically viable anymore.
