  I have Sandy's Girls #1 & 2 and Exxxtraordinary Eurobabes #1 and #2 - no complaints about quality at all, but strangely enough some of the corresponding photo sets from their website seem much, much hornier than what you see "live" on DVD. But I'm still not too sure how they actually manage to shoot both video and stills simultaneously?

  Does anyone know an easy way of finding out the actual shooting date of a scene as opposed to the production date given on the DVD? From what I can I make out the production/release date of the DVD can be anything up to 6 to 9 months after the actual shooting date. In order to comply with various US legal requirements one would imagine that the actual shooting date would be recorded very carefully - but how easy is it to find out when any particular scene was shot?

  As far as I know, Mia has retired from hardcore, and is just doing solo and girl-girl now. Apart from very early on, virtually all of her hardcore movies have been exclusively single boy girl scenes with just vaginal penetration. This tended to make some of her later scenes quite similar with little variety - I wonder how that affected the amount of work she was offered when she was doing hardcore. Most girls seem to do anal and dp almost as a matter of routine nowadays. Sounds like something similar might be happening again?

  Apparently Rita Faltoyano has made her debut as a director with a recently released movie called "The Show Must Go On" with a company I'm not familiar with called Seasun. She also appears in the film. The DVD seems to be listed by several suppliers in France. Does anyone know whether it will be available in the US?

  I expect this may have been covered before, but most scenes seem to last, perhaps for obvious reasons, around 20 - 30 minutes. How long does it actually take to get enough footage to edit into a half hour vignette? Maybe someone can also tell us the inside story on what happens on a shoot from start to finish?

  I have always been intrigued by what determines how many movies any particular pornstar makes in a year. Some seem to appear in 20+ (or more) per year, whereas this can represent 3 years work for others. Apart from the obvious, such as looks, type of scene they are prepared to do, career break, etc. why is this? There is still quite a variation even if you discount these factors. Also do hardcore photoshoots for websites, magazines, whatever, pay as much as a scene in a movie?

  Many thanks Selena for taking the time to answer my question so comprehensively. I was thinking mainly in terms of European pornstars though, where most don't have have a dedicated website, apart from the really megastars. A lot of these scenes could appear in virtually any gonzo style movie.

  I was interested to read Selena's Silver November shooting schedule on this site. Excuse my ignorance, but do pornstars generally know which movies their particular scenes will appear in? With a feature type movie this is obviously not a problem, but a lot of films consist of essentially unrelated scenes - were they all shot for that particular title, or do companies sometimes buy scenes from other scources to make up the 7 or so vignettes on their dvds?

  I've been a big fan of John Leslie's gonzo series over the years, but tend to feel that they aren't quite as hot as they used to be. I used to look forward to each new Fresh Meat and Voyeur release, but I find the quality much more variable now. Any opinions? Also does anyone know if the Fresh Meat and The Voyeur series were originally supposed to have different emphases? Nowadays I find them quite difficult to tell apart, but did feel that some of the earlier Fresh Meat was maybe slightly more fetish orientated.

According to some sources, Dina Jewel or Nanna Gronnevik to use her real name, was born on February 1st 1978. If that is correct her 2 Private movies, where she does look quite young and brunette, shot aboard ship in May/June 1996 would seem to be some of her first (legal) adult movies. Where do the Club Seventeen films fit in then? As Walter rightly says Dinner Party 2: The Buffet was shot in the US sometime during her brunette phase in 1996. Confusingly Dina also featured in US Penthouse February 1998 as the brunette Nanna Gibson! As to Fresh Meat #3, I'm not sure whether Dina's scene was actually shot in t...

  I am also interested in this problem. There must surely be some record of when each scene was shot - does anyone know an easy way of finding this out? My own interest stems from trying to determine an accurate chronology of Dina Jewel's US movies. Dina was a blonde Norwegian pornstar (some might say superstar!) in the late 90s. She starred in several movies for various companies which were quite obviously shot in the US. They were released with production dates from late 1997, through 1998, to early 1999. When were they actually shot? Was Dina actually in the US throughout this period or were the movies shot over a month or so and their releases staggered? Short of asking her, does anyone know how to find out?
