  I recently picked up a few of those Alpha Blue Archives classics and I noticed in that some of the films there was very little or NO sexual penetration between male and female actors, point of fact some of the early John Holmes and Candy Samples films. My qusetion is in the early days of porn before VHS was this a common practice and why? Would really like some imput on this one. Edited by - retrogoboy on Dec 8 2011

  One of the hottest classics "let Me Tell ya bout Black Chicks" was banned because it was precived as offensive by some, but I personally took it as a parody, You really should not take this stuff too seriously sometimes......look what it costs us.   Recently I purcahsed new a copy of Bobby hollander's Breast Worx# 30 from L.B.O Entertainment and when I played it there was a message in the begining of the film about an error with the sound but it was through the whole film, No sound just static. I was wondering had anyone who may have purchased this DVD had the same problem? or heard anything like this with his series?   Now I know some time ago the Alex De Renzy classic "Pretty Peaches" was lost to us due to the industry trying to keep from being shut down, and how Alphe Blue Archives soulution was to give us a re-released version that was so cut up that even Jack the Ripper would shed a tear, now the mystery or the question at hand is this, their seems to be a french version that is un-cut and another company named GOLDEN AGE MEDIA has released a version. Which one is worth the bother to buy if you want the original un-cut version or as close to it as possible??? retroGOboy

  With the sudden surge of re-released classic 70's & 80's titles I have noticed that while the industry at large is doing a pretty fair job of getting those lost titles on DVD there are still quite a few that I and many others like me would like to see brought back, I was wondering what is the most effective way to get this message to studios like VCA or Caballero? Are there sites that they tend to be on, or dose a direct letter or email do the trick? Need help on this one! retroGOboy

  Recently while looking over ebay I noticed this classic treasue, please note how much in the end it went for; http://www.ebay.com/itm/150673838754?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 BETWEEN THE CHEEKS with Ginger Lynn was won on ebay for $113.50 used on VHS!!! Now I know that some of the Dark Bros stuff is available on DVD but why are some of their classics not??? Why are some of the Dark Bros titles so hard to find??? for example Let me tell ya bout white chicks is on dvd but let me tell ya bout black chicks is NOT, and that one is really hard to find?   my other observation is that the old titles don't have a long shelf life allot of there re-released classics are being discontinued, is this due to a lack of intrest for more classics, has the golden era run it's course?? retroGOboy

  I have been trying to find dvd's from Jake Steed Productions Freaks, Whoes,and Flows but everywhere I look all they all state that all his company titles are discontinued. Dose anyone know what the heck happened and most important where could one hope to look find some titles???? retrogoboy

  these titles were straight from the factory from what I can tell in orignal case, wrapped, the works, I wonder if sometimes they have a bad copy run on a title or something like that? I would hate to have to buy new copies if I don't have to. retrogoboy

  Thanks daddyhek, I use to work in a video store in the 80's where all of this stuff was there for the taking and now it's all gone....if only I knew. At any rate I will have to make a list and post it. It is my hope that VCA, Caballero, Vivid, and others will see posts like these will prompt more Classics to be released on dvd. Retrogoboy

  I am in the process of picking up some classic 80's DVD films from Excalibur Films I noticed that lt's say under the manufacture WET VIDEO they offer a repackaged Excalibur version but it's NEW! Has anyone ever purchased DVD'S from Excalibur Films in this format before, if so what was your experience and what was the quailty of the product. Retrogoboy

  I am a fan of 80's and 90's porn, when I worked at the local Video store one summer we must have rented twice than the main stream stuff hands down every week, while trying to pick up some of the classic stuff I came to realize that there really is not allot of it out there, So I was wondering waht happnens to the VHS and original prints of this stuff? I have hate to think it just get's destroyed or is left to decompose on some shelf somewhere. And is the market trying to save this stuff or re-release it? Retrogoboy

  thanks for the heads up JS81! I had always wondered about that one, I have seen a least two trailers with two different clips of that scene. it would have been a better film if they had left the whole thing in I think. retrogoboy
