  • Man Talk in POV Movies...Why?!! 5/20/2005 10:57 PM
RainCoater's Point of View #3? No man talk? I beg to differ. In nearly every scene, you can clearly hear Vince Vouyer telling the girls what to say, in this disembodied voice coming from behind the camera. It's creepy and hilarious all at the same time. The funniest scene is the first one with Mandi Bright. Vince's voice is clearly audible about 10 times in this one. Vince tells Mandi to say things such as "Do you like Hungarian pussy?" She repeats this 2 seconds later as "Do Yuuu like Hungarion poosey?" Have a look at lindi's review here on ADT. Her comment about this scene reminding her of a Saturday Night Live skit is right on. Way back on April 20, Crissy wrote: "yes so many guys are concerned about getting themselves off, rolling over and going to sleep. i am not asking them to go out and wash their car afterwards but look how the european men fuck (they make it their gym workout)they do stand up/pick up sessions with their partners and this is considered normal." I used to believe in generalizations like that, especially about French men. On a trip to Paris several years ago, I made it my goal to try out one of these French lovers. It was me who did the picking up, and it was me who invited Mr. French up to my hotel room. Boy, was I ever disappointed. No pleasure for me. No workout for either of us, since it was all over in 10 minutes. Within in a...
  • Women directors just a gimmick ? 4/9/2005 9:30 AM
I was referring to an earlier post on page 1 of this thread, where Flash posed the question, in which he wondered if female-directed porn films were purposely aimed towards bringing in more female viewers, or not. Perhaps this might be true of female-directed features. I've only seen female-directed gonzo films, however. I'm simply stating my opinion that I didn't see any thing that gave me the idea that these two gonzo films were aimed at a female audience, anymore than a typical RLD or Evil Angel film is aimed in this direction. I certainly didn't imply that there aren't female viewers who could/have enjoyed the films I've seen. The few porn films that I've really enjoyed were directed by men. Were these films made to be more appealin...

Speaking of La Breillat (French art film director) - It's hard for me to imagine someone other than a woman making her films (as flawed as they sometimes are). Then again, she not only directs them, but also writes the screenplays. I believe she also arranges the for the financing. There's this one scene in 'Anatomy of Hell', where the main male character is in a bar, bragging to another man about how he's just 'destroyed' the woman that he's been sleeping with. Breillat perfectly captures how inane and hollow a man sounds when he's BS-ing his way through one of these monologues. The reality was that the woman had been manipulating this male character for several nights. I was surprised to find out that the movie 'American Psycho' was d...

As I've written before - Stellan Skarsgaard - the epitome of Swedish manhood. I'll watch anything with him in it. And I am always amazed at how well he speaks English without a Swedish accent, th ough I'd rather listen to him speak Swedish.

No, the guys on this forum know who Rocco is. They're repeating his name over and over. There wasn't one instance of the word 'Iraq' in the forum. One poster asked a question that ended with the phrase 'real orgazm?' This movie must be a Polish porn fan's dream come true.
  • Old review suddenly showing up again 3/18/2005 4:53 PM
Out of curiousity, I went and did a search on Google.pl (Polish google) for 'Rocco Invades Poland'. I found a message board of some sort, where there's been a three page long discussion of this movie running in the past 2 weeks. Not that I can read Polish, but every couple of posts you see the title of the movie. I guess if porn fans in Poland are looking for a Rocco movie, this would be at the top of their list.

Do you mean an ADT search engine, or something like Google? Like, is there a sudden surge of people interested in Polish pornography, or something? Yesterday when I asked this question, this Rocco movie was number two on the 'Most Popular Reviews' list. Today it's number one. I guess when people see a movie show up on this list, it generates even more people clicking on the title to find out about it, which keeps the movie on the list even longer. Or, maybe people just like the sound of the title.
  • Made-up email names 3/16/2005 10:43 PM
Amongst all the spam I get on my email account here on ADT, I recently got an email from someone who appeared to be a poster (it came by way of the ADT forum administrator address). That person thought I was a porn actress (or perhaps he thought I was Renee Pornero). He went on for 5 detailed paragraphs about what he wanted me to do just for him, and where I should send all the photos to. I couln't figure out if this was real or not, so just deleted it.

Okay, in regards to what is checked to run in 'Start Up' in msconfig, there's the following: ctfmon .exe ScanRegistry Task monitor System tray Load power profile Quicktime task Motivemonitor MadExe TkBellExe Microsoft Office startup Resolution Assistant Camio Viewer Adobe Gamma Loader .exe NKvMon .exe I do have a Nikon digital camera, but it came with Nikon view for handling and transferring pictures. I don't remember if I had Camio Viewer before this. I will do the scandisk and defragmentation again. I did these about six months ago, but that was before I got my new Canon printer-all-in-one, which seems to use up some of the RAM.

Okay, I've cleaned up the cache, and lowered the amount it should store. I've got two more questions. Do I need to have something called "my network places" loaded on the computer? I'm not hooked up to any network, this is my home computer that I'm using. There is also something called Camio Viewer 2000, that appears as a small icon on my lower right toolbar? What does this do, and can I get rid of it? Another question - When I check the performance of my computer by right clicking on the computer icon, and going to "properties", it says I have 127 MB RAM, and usually 75-85% system resources. It also says that the file system is 32 bit, Virtual memory is 32 bit, and that disk compression is not installed. At the botto...

In a word, it's called 'humilitainment'. A word I didn't coin, BTW.
  • HTML question about trademark symbol 2/12/2005 5:18 PM
Kperv, What you suggested worked. When I typed in Tactel&#174 Tactel&#174 Tactel&#174 The first gave everythink in Verdana, the second gave just the encircled R in Times New Roman, and the third gave all the text and the encircled R in Times New Roman. Tony C, yes, there have been dye problems with some of these yarns. As well as too many knots, excessive fuzzing, uneven strands, etc. But if a knitter has the gall to complain on a message board, some of these designers will throw a 'Jewel' type fit (hope she isn't reading this).
  • HTML question about trademark symbol 2/12/2005 9:50 AM
Cobalt60 recommended just changing the font for that one encircled R character. So I tried that. I typed in, on the ADT write a review page, the following to compare: Tactel&#174 Tactel&#174 But both looked the same. Am I doing something wrong? Kperv, both the textile and the yarn businesses are cutthroat. There isn't much profit margin in either. There are way too many yarn vendors, and with the Internet , the numbers have gone even higher. Not so different from the porn business. Just like there are now too many so-called 'directors' in porn, there are too many knitwear designers who decide they must have their own lines of yarns with their names all over it. Doesn't matter if they know anything about the yarn spinning business.
  • HTML question about trademark symbol 2/11/2005 9:58 PM
Thanks for all the replies. So, the name of the font they are using is 'tahoma'? I'll double check that with the yarn vendor to make certain that's its name. I think the vendor got scared when Big Bad DuPont told them they'd have to hire a website consultant, like this would all cost a lot of money. If DuPont is like any other big company, they probably contract out all their website work, then get charged way more than is reasonable for the what gets done. I should email this thread to the good folks at DuPont's Tactel division, and let them know a bunch of porn fans solved this momentous problem. Then we should bill DuPont for all the work.

Sheldon wrote: My dictionary defines misogyny as hatred of women. Hatred is a pretty strong term, not to be confused with 'mildly disparaging.' And no, most US porn films are not misogynist. [I've viewed well over 10,000 different XXX-rated vidoes since 1983 and can swear to that.] Annoying, can-do-better, certainly. And that certainly is true despite the fact that there has been an marked increase in misogynist porn since the first Dubya Administration. That's not surprising: censorship tends to make for a more reactionary product. Let me see if I comprehend your last two sentences above correctly. You can see there's been a marked increase in misogynist porn since 2001. You appear to be saying that this is a reaction to Bush's anti-porn ...

Sheldon, whoever you are, you come off as far more strident and close-minded than Prof. Sun. Why don't you enlighten us all as to what makes you such an expert on porn? What is your connection to the porn industry? I'm getting the idea that you are not a simple fan. I also agree with Tony C., in regards to the Disney movie 'Hunchback of Notre Dame'. A movie that's about a gypsy woman falsely accused of murder was marketed to pre-schoolers as if it was a SpongeBob Squarepants cartoon. (I know, my four year old niece was crazy about that Disney film). I want to add, I agree with alison b's previous post.
