Hardware: Even though I just posted in favor of a 21 age limit, I agree with a lot of what you say. Amen to the fact that being 'proclaimed' an adult means you take responsibility for your actions. I couldn't agree more, but there's always a but... I think being 18 is the toughest and most confusing. Yes, you can buy a gun and vote, no you cannot drink. Being 18 is too close to being 16. It's too much to ask anyone to be wise to the world 2 years removed from getting your drivers license.

Pontus: I wasn't aware of the Gay Porn industry's successful ability to self regulate. That's a nice counterpoint. I am feeling stronger and stronger about the 21 age limit. There seems to be many more upsides to it that overcome the detriments. It's interesting to note, we won't allow persons under the age of 21 to drink legally, yet we allow them to join our military and go fight in foreign contries and also allow them to make movies where they have sex in front of millions.
