  Torris: I finally got my replacement copy of Oral Consumption, and it works fine on my Sony DVD player. I have about 60 adult DVD titles, and all of them play properly. As for S-Video switching, if you are in the market for an audio receiver, many of the new ones has build-in switching. On my Yamaha AC-3 receiver, it has 3 S-Video inputs, and I can switch any of them to the S-Video output that goes to my TV, via the remote control.

  Spesedy: My package came today, it was shipped USPS Global Priority. I don't know why it took 14 days, but what's important is that it got here. Being USPS, it was delivered to my mailbox even though I wasn't home.

  Well, AdultDVDnow shipped my order on Oct 17th, and 10 days later I still don't have it. I don't know how they shipped it (UPS or Global Priority), but previous orders to me in Canada via GP took about 4 days, so either the package is lost, or customs got it. And it was a big order ... I should have cancelled it once I realized they may have changed who they use for shipping.

  I just ordered some DVDs from adultdvdnow, and also noticed that they are now using UPS for Canadian shipments. They used to send via Global Priority, and it always worked, plus if I wasn't home, they just leave it in my mailbox. Since I am rarely home during the day, it will be interesting to see what UPS does. DVDAdvantage wants between $30 to $60 to ship 8 DVDs to Canada ... they have got to be joking. adultdvdnow charges way less, and I have yet to lose a single DVD to customs.

  Torris: About a week ago, I had mentioned that Oral Consumption by Anabolic won't play on my Sony DVPS500D (I get the message "C:13:00" on the television as soon as I insert the DVD, then nothing works). The flip side with the trailers are OK. Since then, I had a chance to try the same DVD on a computer with DVD drive, and it works fine. It does look like a compability issue between the DVD and my Sony, and your Toshiba. I have ordered another copy of this DVD, I'll let you know what happens. All of the other Anabolic/Diabolic DVDs I have are fine.

  Has anyone been able to get into the adultdvdnow site today? I get the opening screen, and after I click on "I Agree", I get taken to a blank page, which my browser just loads over and over again.

  My favorites Anabolic DVD's are: - Down the Hatch #1 and #2 - Initiations #2 - Oral Consumption #1. Much better quality than VHS, and very good even by DVD standards.

  I am a regular customer of adultdvdnow, and I have been very satisfied with their service. They are one of only a few suppliers that can consistently deliver to me (I am not in the U.S.), and on one occassion, I returned a DVD with no problems.

  jb0911: If you have ownership of a movie, then IMO you have the right to release it censored or uncensored. You can cut it down to a 5 minute movie and release it on a DVD, and who's anyone to tell you that you can't do it. Or you may choose to go back and reinsert scenes that were edited because the political climte is more tolerant today. You will also understand that as a consumer, I decide where my money gets spend. However, the issue here is the release of censored DVDs without informing the consumer. For example, I bought Gang Bang Angel #1 (an EA release), and nowhere on the box doesn it say that the DVD is edited in comparison to the VHS, in fact the photos on the box hints at the nastier scenes, some of which were shortened, and an...

  I am coming at this from a consumer's perspective. I always view the VHS first, and if I really like it, then I buy the DVD. So far, I have about 40 adult DVDs. Most of them are from Anabolic, Diabolic, or Extreme Associates. When I buy their DVD's, I have complete confidence that everything I saw on the VHS is also on the DVD. On the other hand, I will never buy any DVDs from Vivid or Elegant Angel. The issue is one of credibility ... once a company censors one DVD, I no longer have confidence that they won't censor another. Life is too short to have these frustrations and doubts. I also find it laughable the excuse VCA gives for censoring. There are LOTS of vidoes from the major producers with far nastier content. IMO, it's better to have...

  I just got Anabolic's Oral Consumption #1, and the DVD won't play on my Sony DVPS500D. All I get on the TV is the message "C:13:00". The flip side with the trailers are OK. I have ordered 5 Anabolic DVDs, and this is the only one that has outright problems.

  I agree that such a list should be maintained by consumers for consumers. This lessens the possibility of influence by the industry. As to whether something is censored or not, I think it's very clear cut. If something is on the VHS copy and not on the DVD, then it's been censored. It's entirely possible that the VHS itself is censored (for example, Max Hardcore's American releases vs. Euro ones), but I believe that's a different issue.

  I usually buy a DVD because I had previously seen the VHS or mpegs, and was impressed. To find out later that the best parts are missing ... life is too short for that kind of nonsense. I have just over 40 DVDs in my collection now, and I know that every one of them is intact. As a matter of principle, I will not keep any that are censored, and I will also try to steer clear of companies that do this. Vivid is on my boycott list ... when I check the list of new releases, I skip their titles entirely.

  Yes, Gangbang Angels #1 DVD with Stephanie Swift is censored. There was nothing on the DVD box that indicates this. I thought the idea behind DVD is that you get more than what's on VHS. I want to defend Elegant Angel's right to do whatever they want to their movies. They can edit it down to 5 minutes and release it on a DVD, and it would be entirely within their right. But the issue is one of credibility. Once Elegant Angel censors one title without warning the consumer, how can we be sure about their other titles. I have been avoiding their DVDs ever since, but some of their titles are really good. I do want to purchase "Cellar Dweller" and "Week & 1/2 in the Life of a Prostitute", but only if they are intact.

  I am interested in purchasing "Bottom Dweller" and "Week & 1/2 in the Life of a Prostitute". I have seen clips posted on Usenet, and the action is intense (especially Tricia's scenes). And Rob Black is one of my favorite directors. However, I am hestitant because my previous experience with Elegant Angel DVDs wasn't good. Gangbang Angel #1 was censored. The slapping scene was cut entirely, and the riming scene was shortened, and someone else had reported that other bits were missing as well. I had to return it to my vendor for another title. Has anyone seen these 2 DVDs, are they completely intact?
