Here is the frame for the story so far: As making money in the porn industry grows ever more unreliable, some stars are going directly to the fans to make a chunk of their living.(This is where it gets fun to talk about branding, social media, etc.) What this also means is that it's harder than ever to make it as a camgirl UNLESS you already have a significant following (as a porn star or whatever) since the market is pretty flooded.I will be hanging out with a porn star who totally quit for cam, a girl who makes good side $ while waiting on porn gigs, and a girl who started camming and then switched to porn, among others. I know that Vivid has a cam site... and I am considering interviewing so...

  Hey there. So I am a journalist writing a story for a national men's magazine about porn stars who have switched mostly over to doing cam/paid sites. (proof that I am a writer, here is my story clips site: rachelrabbitwhite.com) So it seems most girls don't leave porn for cam, but end up doing both... does anyone here have leads on someone who has left the industry entirely? Almost entirely? The mag is sending me to LA the 13th-18th so trying to get as many solid girls to interview. Thanks for any help! I've been lurking and the threads here are great. x RRW
