  My main problem with her is that she's so popular. Every single gonzo movie, I'd like to have features Hillary Scott and I am getting more than tired of it.   Thanks to the original poster, to shellshock91, and nomad2317! RLD's changes bugged me for a long time and at least there are others who feel the same about it. In rare cases they can have a director that can maintain a successful series air but most of the time it is simply tricking potential buyers into wasting money on something that isn't worth it anymore. RLD has done than repeatedly now (think of the "cumfart cocktails" series) and it will take serious reviews now and lots of excerpts for me to ever give them cash again. They were my favourite for a long time but after they chased away Erik Everhard, they went downhill badly.

  Are there any mainstream-ish Black-Black movies out there? I can faintly record the 90s "Buttman meets Anal Woman" and the like but most features I have seen in this Millenium focus on Black-White or vice versa. There are several female talents I adore but I don't get them in one movie. And then I always have to put up with some stars I cannot stand, it's a pity.

  juha Nah, it's a thread about the 'compilation hell' from these companies, Vivid mentioned foremost on the list. I posted my dislikes for Vivid comps specifically before the conclusive response why not to buy Vivid in general. There is no such a thing as too much Vivid bashing. But to stay on track, I specifically explained what upsets me about Vivid. What they produce and if there's such a thing as a couple market, is immaterial. My complaint is about their drainage of talent for the rest of the market. And as for Vivid comps - the few I made the mistale of purchasing - they do not warn you where the material is cut from, so you can end up with lots of double footage. Admittedly, it's not as bad as in the cases of Leisure Time or Maver...

  ..And then they have movies with plots and costuming, condoms, and, andthzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Could not agree more. Now that alone would be a strong reason not to buy Vivid. Ever. But the reason why I outright hate them is that they ruin so many great stars. Which then are not longer available for the real thing. Briana and Jeanine just being two of them. So it's not that I want Vivid to make Gonzo - I wouldn't touch a Vivid DVD in my lifetime - I wish they wouldn't limit their stars to their inferior productions.

  Completely agree with that view Midtown . Hence I never buy a compilaton. The ones from Sin City even are compressed at an ungodly bitrate so that one gets a lot of artifacts in the picture - no thanks. And yes it does damage the reputation of a star, I am sure. But then so does working for one of these comoanies. Vivid and Wicked became 'strong not watch' for me a couple of years ago, Sin City now is in that boat as well. Sure Anabolic does publish 'Best of ..' editions as well but at least they clearly label the content so that one can avoid double purchases.

  I'm completely fed up with DVD as a medium - anyone know if/when something more solid/reliable will loom in the horizon ? Also I wonder why DVD's are so darned fragile and prone to giving up just because they feel like it ? The only bypass is to get a harddisk player like a Kiss or a server PC with harddisk and a network player. All the porn I watched is not CSS encoded, so you can legally copy your smut onto your machine and watch it on demand there. Much less trouble with HD compared to the flimsy optical medium. The reason why DVDs are so hopeless compared to CDs is that due to the increased resolution, they need to shine the beam under a wider angle into the medium.   Crucifixio_Jones Great theory and something that bugged me for a considerable amount of time. As I never understood the mechanism on how the awards are actully assigned, I used to blame it to be a pure marketing instrument to have a good star whose popularity might be fading called back into the fans' radar. But reading the input of the great Stormy herself seems to void my prejudice. Also my other suspicion that the awards are issued too late in a star's career does not hold universally. So while I much agree with your observation, I do not have a good theory for it anymore.
