  I just ran into this clearance sale at dvdempire for VCDs at $5.99 each and wanted to alert the forum. As an aside, is there anyone here with prior experience with VCDs. I've never seen a VCD movie but know that they are big is Asia. The picture quality is probably not as good and has fewer extras than DVD but is it better than VHS and are there are any compatibility issues? My Sony DVD player reportedly supports VCDs. Thanks.

  I would like to start a petiton here to get Private to offer discounts to dvdtalk users. I am a loyal fan of Private - I think they make the best porn movies out there and my collection of DVDs has a disproportionate share of Private titles. But they are also the most expensive ones. It would be a real pleasure if you guys at Private lowered your prices or offered occasional coupons at the forum. The free DVD sampler is terrific but a full lenght feature would be better (Duh!) I'm only kidding about the petition but I'd like to echo the price issue someone mentioned in passing a few threads back. Thanks.

  DVD Supercenter is having an inventory reduction sale. You can get great VCA titles for 14.99 including: Chasing Stacy, DMJ6, Torn, White Lightning, Shock, etc. Plus there is free USPS Priority mail with 3 or more titles. I wonder why this site is not included in the price seach at ADT. Regards. (Note: I am not a paid employee of DVD Supercenter)

  I've read in prior postings that Vivid edits their videos for DVDs. I wasn't ready to believe this until I watched 2 different versions of Beautiful starring the leggy French brunette N'J DeBahai. Granted the first viewing was on Playboy TV a while back but I was intrigued enough to rent it on DVD to watch the uncensored version. The DVD had a couple of sex scenes entirely eliminated including a very hot trio featuring Kaitlyn Ashley, and several edits to the storyline. Question to Vivid - Is this intentional? I'm being sarcastic here but any company that chops off scenes from its videos for its DVD releases doen't deserve my money. I can't think of a single reason they would do something like this. Maybe someone here has a clue. I don't th...
