Great pornspective and am in total agreement with almost everything that has been said in this forum. One company which was not mentioned is West Coast. I may not think these guys are doing porn defining work, but the sheer numbers and popularity of their lines lead me to believe that these guys are players to be taken seriously. With Jake Steed's glory days gone and the tokenism some companies have shown in developing major black lines, these guys are quietly eating up a lot of my budgetary cash. So kudos to a job well done and the continuation of what amounts to a small empire of serious black talent. Props also go out to Justin Slayer and his work at Exquisite-2004 looks good if this past year is any indication.
  • Just Watched Mason's Sexual Disorder 10/27/2003 1:32 PM
I wish to congratulate Mason on a superb flick with very hot sex. Had a very Dark feel to it. Wish to see more women getting the chance to deliver the goods in the gonzo realm, although they are growing in number. I'm not 100% on having female perfomers film their own series, although I love being proved wrong. Major congrats to Platinum X for giving Mason a forum for her sick twisted mind, and to the others who passed on her-what the hell were you thinking? I do not know if she's a pain to work with but to my customers who buy her shit up, they'd say it was worth it.

I mean, you look at why Joey Silvera's tranny stuff is so good, and it's because he still shoots it like a straight guy, with the emphasis on the 'woman' and the way she looks and all that stuff. I've seen more than one gonzo film where the woman gets so hot she definately looks like she wants to encourage the men to mix it up with each other a little...but it seems to get shot down immediately. I consider myself a straight guy, but I think the fantasy of a girl coercing a couple of guys to cross some boundries is pretty hot. Sort of a 'I bet you're so hot for me you'd even do this just because it turns me on'. Like, f...

Let's assume a 4 star rating. If there were a new studio with an exceptional video, but no guarantee of future product, how many copies would you expect to move? I could easily move 25 pieces of vhs and 60-70 dvds per release. As for the 4 star rating at least one a week would be nice rather then the one per quarter we currently receive. I estimate a 18-25 dollar cost per item for distributors and larger chains. And again I heard about the duplicate thread on this subject, and again I apologize. But i've got some nice feedback so it was worth breakin...

Again I agree with all that has been said here, including the mention of this subject being broached with an earlier thread. I still believe that this area of the adult world is vastly ignored and the amount of money being lost or satiated by other means,ex.the internet will awaken some studio's eyes. Who would have thought that Evil Angel would have taken the transexual market and in essence caused it to explode. Sure there had been stuff already out but the transexuals themselves and the filming was hideous. Evil Angel with Joey Silvera's lines caused a revolution of sorts. I think the talent is there, but because of the stigma attached to both female and male perfomers we hardly see any crossover or studios going out of their usual bounda...

Does anyone else agree that more American made bisexual titles would be good to see being produced? This is the number one customer request I feel has long been ignored? European and Latin titles not withstanding, the majority of my customers in 3 states all want English spoken bisexual titles. Right now there only are approximately 4-6 good releases a year. I think alot of people worry about the amount of penetration involved especially in regards to male participants, but many women I've talked to agree that they don't want to see a "heavy" gay scene between 2 or more men. Instead they would prefer a "couples" approach with a more oral emphasis. This type of film seems to really cater itself to a feature type film. Is ...

Man there is a whole lot of whining in these forums. I agree criticisms both positive and negative can be constructive. But taking things personally no matter the amount of threads or experience in "this industry" is really counter-productive and maybe would be better handled if the 2 parties or more emailed among themselves and spare all us others the drama. Everybody is entitled to an opinion no matter how ridculous it seems or if they appear to be "trolling". Just ignore the post and stick to the discussion on hand.

Another big black dick buries itself in the West Coast graveyard. Congrats if that is where he is headed but I think Dion will more than be able to work with Sean Michaels and improve upon the Lex titles he was releasing. Word of caution though, Sean Michaels can put you to sleep during many of his scenes. It's okay Sean to really get into fucking a gorgeous girl...promise!!!!And as for West Coast...how many 13 inch dicks does it take.Looks like they've given up the non-interracial market. Thank God for that. One gripe though....more black lesbians....repeat with feeling...more black lesbians!!!
  • Rappers involved with Porn: Your thoughts 10/2/2003 3:13 PM
Great topic. When Snoop did his thing first, I was excited as a retailer simply because I knew it might draw in people who normally would not be interested in pornography. And we probably snagged some regular customers from it. But now it borders on being overdone. Much like the music, it seems like the same shit over and over. You could even say the porn associated with these flicks are sampled much like the music they the artists are putting out. If they want to fuck some porn whoes-go for it, but spare us the film.
  • Racism in the Porn Industry 10/1/2003 12:07 PM
Here is a simple reason. Perhaps, just perhaps, a girl is not attracted to a person(s)of color. I must admit I do not or am not interested in having sex with an Asian woman, nor am I interested in watching scenes with them. I can only go with my dick thermometer, but if he says not interested then it ain't happening. Racism is sometimes used by certain individuals as a means to justify to themselves what they cannot have. Believe it or not some people are not interested or attracted to "minorities". But as the US changes each decade soon those voices saying so and so won't do blacks or latinos will become "why don't they do white people." What comes around goes around. Bottom line is though everybody has a price to do wh...

Sir you are what in retail we (not you, sorry to have offended you singularly)like to call a sure thing. Hell you are the perfect customer. Unfortunately, the majority of our customers do not fit your profile. They do look at the boxcovers and determine who excites them enough to whack off to or watch with their partners. 20% of consumers do buy/rent say the new Virtual Sex or My Plaything title when they come out, but the other...

If that were entirely true than explain the improved sales of Pleasure Productions and Diversity Media. They did not just become good because people thought wow I'll give these shitkickers another chance.Hell no, they got better covers and to some degree took more chances by giving Jules Jordan and others like him a foothold in the industry. You are absolutely right in regards to companies however. The Red Lights, West Coasts, and Evil Angels of the industry are sure things, but what to do with the Wickeds, Vivids and yes,the LFPS. These companies use to mean quality and bigger than life star...

My only worry here is the" done to death " syndrome. There is a huge glut of similiar lines with many emerging companies and most are not horrible. 2 Guys with 1 Chick. WOW....never thought of that before. What now having a dick makes you a retard when it comes to naming your series. I realize we do not want to confuse the customer but for many new customers they all sound the same. It may take them awhile before they figure out which ones are the best because they all sound alike. Young Chicks Who Drink Dicks....wow that one even rhymes. We all know the box cover is the primary reason for the sale/rental of the item, but at least give em a title to remember that separates the shit from the wanna-be's. Okay one more sick idea for a...

Still looking for that ROUGH-HER SEX line we had talked about alooooooooooong time ago Dion. Platinum's I Love It Rough series has been disappointing, especially with Brandon filming that. I expected better.Still thinking the "Taste Test" idea would be more suited to a girl/girl line, but I'm a sick fuck who thinks who has the best tasting snatch would be of interest to other "pornologically incorrect" minds. And despite my own heterosexual preference I am still awaiting the arrival of an American made bi-sexual series. Though some companies do occasionally make or distribute bisexual lines most are of foreigners usually european or dirt poor Latin Americans. And without sounding too pretentious, can we separate the Ameri...
