  I agree with what you said, I think there is a bit of a bias with some people where they will rate certain DVDs higher just because it's their favorite pornstar in it. But I think that only accounts for about 1/2 a star bump because the DVD really got them off. But I think that same 1/2 star bump would go for if some new girl they fall in love with is seen that really gets them off. When I was going through my Teagan phase back in the day, I would buy around 5-10 of her DVDs and I rented close to 20 of her DVDs.   Something that might make this idea really work is if people got on there and created lists of their favorite scenes of all time. Kind of like how IMDb and Amazon has user created lists. You could even work in an affiliate thing where if an affiliate drives a sell, they get 10%-20%, whatever your profit margin allows on the website.   So to sum it up... 3 stars = a few attractive girls, didn't get me off 3 1/2 stars = a few attractive girls, almost got me off 4 stars = attractive girls, at least one scene got me off 4 1/2 stars = attractive girls, one scene really got me off or one got me off and others were close 5 stars = attractive girls, two or more more scenes got me off (rare for a single DVD) So a 5 star rating porno DVD is basically one where you get off to a scene and can't finish reviewing it. You got to go back and watch it again and you see another scene that almost makes you cum. Then you watch another and it almost makes you cum. It's basically hard to review it because it's so hot.   I've reviewed a few porno DVDs back in the day. Most DVDs I reviewed were rated 3 to 3 1/2 stars. That is what I consider the average porno DVD and this is how I explain why they were average... 3 to 3 1/2 Reason 1: A few attractive girls but nothing fresh. By nothing fresh I mean the same cookie cutter sex positions shot all nude on a couch or bed that is like 90% of the other scenes out there. You get the feeling of I've seen this before and it gets boring fast.
