  Famous or infamous? I'll watch just about anything. I try to watch movies that fit my given mood. While Max does do a few things I don't care for and do nothing for me (the medical equipment garbage...and the other stuff they don't show in the U.S.), he does produce movies with a certain attitude. Obviously not only are there people that want to view this stuff, but there are women that will perform it. Many of the women go on to do lots of other porn, so it's not like he's just doing one-timers. I also saw that footage of him doing the AIDs test and he appeared human.   I'd just like to say that I think Anabolic/Diabolic DVDs are mastered just fine. They have great image quality. The second side is used for 'bonus' material.I wouldn't not buy their DVDs because they aren't single sided. They really do shoot some good porn. Of course, I LOVE Private DVDs and am always eagerly awaiting all of their new releases. I only have the first in the Matador series, but I will probably be adding to that line in the very near future.

  I've mentioned some things I like about Private in another thread so I won't repeat myself here. I will say that people that don't like Private titles in general (and there are a lot of lines that cover all sorts of tastes) just what are you watching??? I agree the dubbing really hurts most of there movies. But in many causes the sex is hot enough that you can overlook it. To be honest I wasn't very big on Private before DVD. I own several Private VHS tapes and have rented numerous others in the past and the dubbing was usually a turn off. But I'd rather watch a dubbed movie by Private than anything put out by Vivid or any of those 'glamour' studios.   I forget to mention the Pirate Line...yes those are also good, but I don't find them to be AS good as the Video Deluxe line. I've been trying to get the Virtulia line on DVD but haven't been able to locate it for a good price. I've also been waiting forever it seems for Rubberfuckers Rule - Tanya Hyde's stuff is intense. As far as I'm concerned Private should offer their DVDs on a subscription basis like their magazines! Just send them to me ASAP. Another great thing about Private is they appear to listen to comments.   I just bought it, haven't watched it yet. I have all of the Private Penthouse titles on DVD and I think they are all very good. I also read HD review of Last Muse and am glad he finally found a Private title that didn't disappoint him. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the titles in this series. I'd like to say I'll review it soon, but it seems I spend more time shopping/buying DVDs than I do watching them these days.

  Private doing Vanilla porn? I don't think so...The Private Video Deluxe series is top notch fetish filming. Lots of stylish outfits and hot sex. I have very rarely been disappointed with Private, but I'm picky about which titles I buy. I currently own about 35 Private DVDs and have only been disappointed with maybe 2 or 3. The only major flaw is the dubbing which is explainable when you figure how much directing and still photography takes place on the sets. As far as extras go...I don't really look at them.   I have to agree. Diabolic titles are solid. The women are great, the camera angles are perfect and well shot, and the sex is outstanding. I've been adding to my collection very steadily. The Down the Hatch series is definitely top notch. I own them all except the first one (How does it rank with the others? For some reason it never seemed to get on my list...) Also, the Nice Rack series is tremendous. I just grabbed Volumes 6 & 7. I've really got to start doing some reviews because these titles deserve more attention. Diabolic/Anabolic puts most other studios to shame. Keep the DVDs cumming and I'll keep buying, Thanks.

  I was initially tempted by the title as well. I imagine most of the scenes are from either the Pirate line or Pirate Video Deluxe line. Since I own just about every titles in those lines, I won't be buying the Latex Sex DVD. I tend not to buy compilations anyway. I do own Millenium (just to help figure out which other Private DVDs to buy) and Cumshot Deluxe 2.

  I agree that a template would be helpful for people to start submitting reviews. I've been trying to do reviews for a while and feel that a template would definitely be beneficial. If nothing else it helps people get started. I have found many reviews to be quite helpful in determining if a movie is worth buying and I would love to return the favor. Also, in some cases I've found that some reviews don't agree with my viewpoint and I'd like to respond but I don't always have the time. I used to like the old reviews that were in Hustler's Erotic Video Guide (they've changed many times). With luck I'll find an old copy and try to emulate it.   Indeed a very interesting article. I must admit I don't agree with a lot that is said in it. While the industry may not be as large as some estimates, I believe it as not as small as this article suggests.   I own a few dozen Private DVDs. They are by far my favorite and I'm not afraid to spend a little more for them. They offer a lot for the money. If you liked Xtreme Desires..which I did, too. I'd recommend Twisted Dreams, London Calling, Hell Whores and High Heels. I really enjoy the Private Video Deluxe line. It's not for everyone due to the fetish scenes, but I love them.

  I've got Masquerade, but I don't think I've watched it yet. I would recommend Dangerous Things - both I and II. Private knows what it's doing...and Sylvia Saint is awesome in both movies.

  I definitely agree with the need for more fashion in porn. Sexy clothes, shoes, boots, and things are serious lacking in porn. Like was stated earlier, the outfits are kept on for a few minutes at best. I think the outfits should be kept on - penetration permitting of course...That's what can help make the movie different. That's part of the reason why I like Private...they do stick to a theme better rather than just remove all the clothes and have the same sex - with the same people...

  I would like to point out an instance that really made a change for the better. A while back a lot of reviews/posts mentioned how annoying the big black camera icon that showed up on certain Private DVDs was awful. Private read the reviews and responded. Now the icon is smaller and can be turned off! I applaud that. I've been trying to get ALL of Private's titles on DVD. I only wish they could turn them out faster. It takes several months from the VHS release until the DVD is out. But I can't complain, they put out the type of product I really love and they listen. As far as reviews go I'm always skeptical of good reviews, but I do appreciate the reviews that let me know what product to avoid - and explain why. And if the studios can't ha...

  I failed to mention noise in my recommendation for the 360/560 from Sony. I don't hear any at all because of my home theater, but the Pioneer that I moved up to the bedroom is LOUD - on some discs louder than others. Normally it's not a problem...but if you need to listen with the volume turned down and don't have headphones (the 560 has a jack) finding a player that is quiet may be important.

  I'm not sure if the model is still current, but I would recommend the Sony 360. It retails for somewhere around $200-$250. There are several features that make it a better player than most. It can play damaged discs better than a Pioneer player I own (414), it has a much smoother scanning - not jumpy like a lot of players, and the onscreen menus are very easy to use. I actually own the 560, but the 360 it almost identical except for lack of headphone input and built in DD decoder. I don't have any experience with the under $200 players so I don't know what they are like. That's my two cents worth...

  Just curious why you were interested in the described videos, dumblonde. Is it just to validate what you thought you saw or is it something that has piqued your interest. Personally I think the activity can be pretty hot (not with Ed Powers mind you). If you want to see it done right I would recommend Private Video Deluxe directed by Tanya Hyde. She seems to enjoy it as well since every film has one scene that is similar - Xtreme Desires, Twisted Dreams, London Calling, Hell Whores and High Heels, and the soon to be released Rubberfuckers rule.
