  • shipping charges at XRent 5/15/2007 8:07:05 PM
Thanks guys. This seems logical (but I wish things worked differently). I may have to take the media mail route more often. pb
  • Where do you buy your online porn dvds ? 12/19/2006 6:18:20 PM
I've found X-rent to be very reliable and fast at shipping. DVDEmpire is very professional and reliable as well, but I wish they would lower their shipping charges.
  • Defectve Extreme Assoc. dvd's From JJM through ADM 12/19/2006 6:09:53 PM
Unfortunately, I don't think this problem is confined to just this seller. I've had problems with Extreme Associates DVDs I've purchased on ADM from multiple sellers. Even with the ones I purchase that are brand new, one or two of the scenes on the DVDs won't play and my DVD player freezes up. This is why I avoid buying Extreme Associates DVDs on ADM regardless of who the seller is.
  • Navigating through XRent's updated web site. 5/22/2006 8:09:51 PM
I liked the old format better for doing searches...the one where you could simply put a check in a box next to each genre you want (or don't want) to search. The checkout process seems to be taking a lot longer too (the screens come up really slow). pb
  • Kickback Redemption Problem 1/31/2006 10:00:25 PM
Actually, I sent an e-mail when a few days passed after I posted my message in this thread. I got a server generated confirmation that my e-mail had been received, but I never heard anything since then. I use hotmail when sending messages to the kickback e-mail. Wonder if something's wrong on my end. I've never had problems getting/sending kickback e-mails at this address. Maybe my records are off, but I never saw the kickback redemption of $20 for my 1/16 request at X-Rent? I looked at my recent orders there, and no $20 credit shows up on any of them. pb
  • Kickback Redemption Problem 1/21/2006 8:13:37 PM
Hi all: I made a kickback request earlier in the week... 1/16/2006 7:54:29 PM ($20.00) Redemption at XRentDVD The request seems to be in limbo. No credit has shown up at X-rent, and I don't recall getting a message saying that the request was forwarded to them. Is there a delay in getting the requests processed this week? thanks, pb
  • Private out of stock at X-Rent 12/27/2005 11:41:24 PM
My bad on this one. X-rent usually sends ship confirmations by 8:30pm my time or so. I got mine about 1.5 hours later than usual (can't remember getting one this late before!). Anyway, I kind of jumped the gun on this one, so apologies to X-rent. pb
  • Private out of stock at X-Rent 12/27/2005 9:58:50 PM
Thought I'd bump this up. Just placed an order for two Private DVDs today, which were in stock when I ordered them and finalized the order. Now both are listed as "on order" and my order did not ship. I generally like X-Rent, but they need to get their act together on Private DVDs. This has happened to me several times in the past. pb
  • Legs Behind the Head (Contortionist) Anal Sex 8/22/2005 9:10 PM
I think the closest I've seen is the scene between Luisa De Marco (hot!) and Manuel Ferrara in Legend's the Art of Ass. When he's doing reverse cowgirl anal, he really hooks her legs up high. I think there's even a picture of this on the back of the boxcover.
  • Question about ZT's Tic Tac Toes (Mike Quasar?) 7/26/2005 10:21 PM
I bought it and was a bit disappointed. Most of the stars are well-known anal queens, but there was no anal at all in the movie (of course they did not advertise it as such, so I can't complain too much). There's a fair amount of guys thrusting their cocks through closed feet in the movie, but I don't recall specifics on particular stars. pb
  • Question for X Rent about "Coming Soon" Titles 7/26/2005 6:27 PM
On a related note, my pet peeve with X-Rent is that they post their new releases so late in the day. It varies by day...sometimes they are up by 5:30 central time, sometimes 6:30, sometimes even later. Why post new releases so late when the cutoff for shipping that day is 8pm (central time)? Why not just allow customers to order new releases earlier in the day, even if they are not officially ready to ship earlier in the day? The other reason for this would be locking in used titles. I often find used titles I want to purchase but also want to combine with a new release that's coming out later in the day. By the time the new DVD is officially for sale, the used DVD I wanted to order has already been sold. Allowing people to order new rel...
  • Cream Filled Ass Pie...What the Fuck??? 5/7/2005 10:24 AM
This comment further indicates that a thread on "deceptive DVDs" or "DVDs with missing content" or something along those lines might be appropriate. In the past couple of months, I've had two or three DVDs where content on the boxcover was not actually included on the DVDs. People need to know this stuff before making purchases. pb
  • New Sensations/Digital Sin screw up again (ed. ) 5/3/2005 8:04 PM
I'm irritated with Digital Sin too. Assume the Position 4 is a total ripoff. There's a DP scene with a nice looking blonde on the back cover, but the scene is not even on the DVD. While we're on the subject of misleading boxcovers, Fusxion's Just My Ass Please 3 includes Jessica Sweet, but she does not do anal. Just my ass please sort of implies all the performers do anal scenes. Of course the back cover of the DVD also says ALL ANAL! in bold letters. I've stoped purchasing DVDs from both companies, because if I can't trust the cover, I'm not going to take a chance. It would almost be nice if there was a special "deceptive DVDs" thread that would give people a head's up on DVDs that don't show what they claim to contain. pb
  • Five Star Kickback redemption bonus announcement 4/18/2005 7:19 PM
This is potentially a good deal, but I wish Fivestar would get a better handle on stock issues. Every time I come close to getting $100 or more worth of DVDs on my wishlist, 1 or more items go out of stock. I would do 90 percent of my shopping at Fivestar if they did not run out of hot new titles so quickly. Since I can rarely find enough in-stock titles to take advantage of the kickback bonuses for large purchases, I find it hard to use kickbacks at Fivestar. pb
  • Does Five Star DVD ever get anything in stock? 3/4/2005 10:38 PM
I'm getting more frustrated with Fivestar as time goes by. I just placed an order on March 2nd, checked my Fivestar account the next day and saw "order completed, shipped March 2nd." Now I check my account today, and the order is changed to "multishipment" status. One of the titles was out of stock, and is on backorder, and the rest of the order actually did not ship out until March 4. (Why wait 2 days to ship the in-stock titles if this is the case?). It's not like I'm ordering out of stock titles. I place all the titles in the cart, finish the order, and receive the confirmation telling me that everything is in stock. I've been shopping at X-Rent for two years now, and I've never once had a completed order where...
  • Does Five Star DVD ever get anything in stock? 2/22/2005 7:44 PM
I like Fivestar, but another frustrating stock issue is how often they update their new releases. They often go 3 or 4 days without adding anything new. For example, the current new releases have not been updated since Saturday. I've got a couple of titles that I want to order from Fivestar, but would like to get free shipping with 4 titles. I checked back on Monday and today to see if some of the new releases were added, but nothing changed, so I'll probably just place the order somewhere else. pb
  • Devil's Films SUCKS 2/16/2005 9:53 AM
I like some of the Devils Films stuff, but I think their marketing of compilation DVDs is pretty lousy. Basically, they reuse the same scenes over and over again but just change the names of the compilation DVDs. I've purchased several of their compilation DVDs, but I will not be purchasing any more due to all of the overlap in scenes. pb
  • Post Office inspections 1/16/2005 10:45 AM
Thanks for the clarification guys. It makes sense that businesses don't have to bring open packages to the counter to verify media mail content, given the large number of packages they ship. pb
  • Post Office inspections 1/15/2005 8:25 PM
In response to Flash's comments about Media Mail, they do allow you to send DVDs. However, my post office told me that you have to take the unsealed box up to the counter so that the clerk can look inside to verify the contents. I found this out the hard way. I was selling some adult dvd's to useddvdempire. When I said that I wanted to send them media mail, the clerk told me that he had to see the contents to verify that I was sending media. Since I did not want to have them open up the box (there was a long line behind me...I also did not want the clerk to see the contents), I just opted for priority mail. I once had a DVD Empire order that was obviously opened and resealed (the tape job was bad and not the kind of tape DVD Empire uses...
