  Long -- good point. I'm sorry you have to suffer for the weirdness of your state officials. I work for AdultVideoNation.com. We went through a lot of angst when we first opened over this issue. After a lot of trial and error, we came up with a list of 6 states and 3 cities where we won't ship. Don't you wish all Americans benefited equally from the freedoms in the Constitution?   So, LongduckDong, how did you vote in the last local and national elections? Because that is the point. I'm the shipping manager for an online DVD store and we'd love your business, but no WAY will we send to Alabama with its knuckles-dragging-on-the-ground legal approach to sex. The problem here is your local and state DAs, and their father-figure John Ashcroft. They would love to work together -- a local procsecution backed by Federal assistance -- to put me in jail for selling you stuff that the rest of the country can get.   Joeblow-- thanks for checking out the site. We are working on integrating our database with the site such that real-time inventory status will show for each title, so you are right on there. And ... the gay category is certainly a weakness right now. And ... I have forwarded your comments about the banner to our Art guy. Mostly I appreciate getting feedback from someone in the biz.   My partner and I have just launched an online adult DVD sales site. Being laid off Internet folks, we're brand spankin' new to the adult biz, so the posts in this forum have been a real eye-opener for us. The first thing we figured out when we started is that you can't have everything in stock all the time, which raises the whole "backorder-in stock" issue. Here's how we handle it -- let me know what you think: the day we get an order, we ship whatever of that order we have in-house, and we charge the credit card only for that amount. Then we send an email explaining that some stuff is backordered and it will be shipped and billed separately. When we get the backordered items in stock, we ship for free and bill only for the amo...
