  Interesting. I understand DV-Depot is a Canadian company. I've never used them so I don't know if they ship to the U.S. I wonder if DHL's no-adult-products request was in any way related to orders being sent to the U.S. or another foreign country? Or was it domestically-driven? Please Mr Postman!

  I'd be interested in experiences/thoughts of both customers and merchants here. It's convenient to be able to print online labels and have shipments automatically charged to my credit card. While all the carriers offer this kind of service, only DHL allows you to drop ground packages into their dropboxes, an option I find especially convenient. FedEx and UPS allow only the more-expensive air shipments to be placed in the dropboxes; ground packages must either be taken to a shipping center (sometimes at a cost) or picked up for a charge. (USPS allows Priority Mail packages to be dropped in a mailbox, but they must be under a pound, and more importantly USPS loves to delay, lose and damage my stuff.   I don't know about others, but I've complained to 1-800-ASK-USPS a number of times about various topics, and it has accomplished zilch. When I do actually receive the promised return call from a local employee, the indifference and stream of lame excuses I hear is pathetic (but not surprising to me). Usually it's some variant of "we have no system for checking on or monitoring that" or "the sender must be at fault". (Note that there was definitely *not* a "we're sorry but" at the beginning of those examples.) A few months ago, I used the electronic form on the USPS website to file a vacation hold request.   Yes, Ramsey (North) is an an excellent reccomendation. He is in William Higgins' 80's classic "Cousins". Some quick surfing reveals that the studio's website (www.catalinavideo.com) has the DVD of Cousins for $29.99. Another Ramsey classic is "The Bigger The Better", which is one of the titles streamed at www.nakedsword.com, and also presently sold on DVD at www.bijouworld.com for $24.95. Finally, a third 80's Ramsey clasic is "Sizing Up", although from what I've seen the DVD prices for this one are pretty consistently high. You can still probably find a cheap VHS of Sizing Up.   Get "Taking It To The Limit", distributed by Arena. It's Latino (Brazilian), and there's a long scene where one of the guys shoots so high that he ends up giving his partner a facial even though I don't think that was the intent. I think it was the second or third scene. (Note also that the scene is bareback, in case that is a specific plus or minus for you.) I know I've seen other scenes and performers that fit the geyser category -- including recently -- but for some reason I'm drawing a blank at the moment.

  Thanks so much for the insights, cuteboyvideos.com, although I was sorry to see that this actually happens -- and around San Franciso, no less (assuming you mail from that area). I had been hoping there was no *purposeful* delaying, opening etc. going on (not that NON-purposeful problems are acceptable), but your post makes me realize that such crap may actually be going on. But in my case, of course, it would have to be somewhere at my end or enroute, since people elsewhere report much better "luck" receiving stuff from the same shippers. Also, I have to keep in mind how pathetic much of my non-porn delivery has become over the past few years. OTOH, that stuff usually just gets DELAYED, not ripped open as my porn mailings someti...

  Just for the record, my aforementioned "a la carte" rental from XRent arrived today. It was postmarked 3-3 (as expected), so that means it took exactly two weeks for this one-DVD "First Class" mailing to make it to my mailbox. While there was no evidence that it had been opened, the XRent First Class mailers would be very easy to open and reseal without obvious tampering/damage (unlike ADE and Oddesse's paper mailers). But my guess is this delay is simply due to the notoriously undependable First Class delivery in my area. While I see from other threads that other folks have encountered some long delivery delays (from various companies), those incidents seem to be the exception to the rule.   Clay, as far as notifying the rental company, I did do that for one of the two mangled and opened DVDs by emailing Adult DVD Empire, and they never replied. Also, when I spoke to a Northern Illinois USPS Customer Relations person (about my perpetually late First Class magazine, not the DVDs, she said there is no way to investigate delayed First Class mail. I didn't pursue the issue of whether they would investigate FCM that looked like it was opened or that never showed up at all, but I get the impression that such complaints would be ignored without purchase of Delivery Confirmation service or insurance for the affected items...I could be wrong.   No, the magazine I referred to isn't porn related, and it comes in good shape -- other than taking forever to get here every single week even though it's sent First Class and carefully packaged as such. But I do receive porn brochures, etc. in envelopes that are no longer sealed at all "for some reason" -- especially over the past year. (I need to use some restraint here to avoid launching even further into my string of Postal Service horror stories -- since don't want to veer too far from the DVD-rental implications.) As for your idea of moving up to a higher class of delivery, I asked XRentDVD why they recommend Priority over First Class (for $2 more per disc).   I don't mean they LITERALLY won't let me use the rental services...I mean they're making it so I'm afraid to continue trying. The services which send out the disks in little envelopes with easy-return capabilities are so convenient, I hate to have to give them up. First, let me point out that First Class Mail delivery in my Northwest Chicago suburb went from adequate to atrocious several years back. For example, there is a magazine, packaged securely in an envelope clearly marked "First Class", which I have received from Los Angeles for years. They mail it every Wednesday.
