You have a point but its hard to find ethnic male talent that dominates and give it hard and nasty. Valentino does that is why he makes my list too.

We need to vote for our freedoms locally and nationally. Thanks, Lisa To my knowledge no, I deal with local officials on almost a monthly basis trying to outlaw porn. Rather than fighting them a loophole is found. I would really like to get into more details but can't. The best thing I can do right now is vote for Kerry. There are some very serious people on this board that take freedom very seriously. This indictment is more than just about "porn." It boils down to the core of our personal freedom. Thank you EagleSpirit. I too will vote for Kerry. An...
- Tom Byron's Statement on the EA Indictment 3/20/2004 12:18 AM I have tried to stay on topic and I think Ive added to the relevant issues of this thread, but I need to say something to Tom Byron because I may never get the chance to do this again, so I apologize to all others: --------------- Tom Byron: I just wanted to personally thank you for your contributions to this industry. You are truly a legend and a personal hero of mind. I hesitated to write this because Im not sure this is the proper forum for such a message but I hope others will grant me this opportunity and not be offended. Every since I was a very young person I always felt I wanted to make movies that better reflected real life but I was disappointed that all of the stories I had seen stopped at the bedroom. But one day that all chang...
- Tom Byron's Statement on the EA Indictment 3/19/2004 10:51 PM Renee wrote: When comparing mainstream films to porn films, I think people should keep in mind that whoever provides the financing (usually big movie studios) has a big say in the final product. And all these movies have to go through the MPAA to get a rating before they are released in theaters. A very different situation from the one that dictates the content of porn films. Great Post Renee, I enjoy most of your post a great deal. You may not have been referring to me specifically but, In my comments earlier I was only speaking to the wide range of expression that exist in main stream films. Mot many would condemn all of movies for the violence in some. We in porn should be able to have an equally wide range. Financing your own project...
- Tom Byron's Statement on the EA Indictment 3/19/2004 5:08 PM TonyC wrote: Actually in Lawrence v. Texas, the Supreme court didn't go anywhere near the (in my opinion) shakey "right to privacy", and thank goodness they didn't. Another four years of Bush and Co. and I think there's a good chance we can kiss the right to privacy goodbye. What the Supreme Court did do in the Texas Sodomy case was uphold the lower court ruling that the Texas Sodomy law was unconstitutional because it violated the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Thank you. After I finish a video edit this weekend Ill re-read the decision. - Tom Byron's Statement on the EA Indictment 3/19/2004 1:40 PM Once again, your post is very thought provoking and smart. I thank you for this dialogue. I would just make the following comments: Community standards for a public theater is one thing (and the basis on which the Miller decision was made) but community standards should not be applicable in this case (or many others). As I understand it, this case stems from a purchase via the internet (a virtual community) to buy clearly defined sexually graphic material to be delivered to a persons private home. The local community in which he or she lived never entered the picture. Communities have the a right to determine the establishments that directly effect their community. However, it is a distortion of this principal to extend that to the priv...

Notice anything? I do; NBK is a visual tour de force and Forced Entry looks like shit. Tony, thank you for commenting on my post but I must say you came dangerously close to proving my point in your response. I'll quote myself : It seems that freedom of expression shouldnt take a back seat to personal choice." It appears that you are saying only well produced, highly stylized work should be protected or considered artistic expression. I used NBK for more than one reason in my example. The first was to emphasize the wide contrast between The Passion of the Christ, but the other ...
- Tom Byron's Statement on the EA Indictment 3/19/2004 1:35 AM I love the togetherness the studio heads and producers have expressed recently in this thread, I especially love the irony that Mike Quasar pointed out regarding our so-called freeing the people of Iraq while this administration is doing everything it can to take our rights away. But at the risk of opening old wounds I must ask the following: If mainstream filmmakers can make everything from Natural Born Killers to Passion of the Christ why is there no room for Vivid , Extreme, Video Team, Evolution Erotica Platinum X Pictures and even our east coast baby Platinum Pictures Inc. to express our individual styles without harsh judgment of/and from the industry? Michael Stefano did a wonderful job in Forced Entry. Just as Anthony Hopkins did ...

- Tom Byron's Statement on the EA Indictment 3/17/2004 6:25 PM As one of the smaller companies in the business, we often find it frustrating that we (large and small companies- hard and soft) dont encourage more political activism to our viewers. Im not sure that most casual viewers of porn really understand how fanatical this administration is. Like Chris Mann said this is about all freedom. Although people dont liked to be preached too, I would love it if all of our companies would voluntary run a 15-30 second ad directly stating just what is at state. You larger guys reach more people, but it effects us all. Is there any chance that a direct appeal to the viewers could be organized?
- Tom Byron's Statement on the EA Indictment 3/17/2004 5:59 PM Tom. I re-ask my question in different way. In light of what you have said above, do you believe "we" (workers and supporters of the adult industry)should focus our efforts only on the presidential election or should we look at our state and federal congress representatives too? And is there a score card on elected officials relative to the adult video industry? Lisa Sorry we were cross posting. I'll check them out. Thank You. Edited by - platinum6969 on 3/17/2004 6:00:27 PM

- Starting Porn Production 3/6/2004 2:59 PM Uncle Leroy, It is important to know that making porn with style and creativity is not as easy as it looks and not as easy as others would have you believe. But producing good porn will only represent 25% of your efforts. An additional 25% will be used on issues of post production. Editing, Mastering, Duplication, Labeling, Packaging and so forth. But by far; 50% of your efforts must be on selling your product. In an oversaturated market this is the most brutal element of the business. Before you spend your money (or other peoples money) on production you need to consider how you intend to sell your product. Will it be via distributors (good luck), directly to stores, hardcopies via the web, web streaming, mail order or a combination of...
- Points of View - Loooong, Boooorrrring, Pointless 3/4/2004 10:58 AM nickdel, although your point was a bit contorted, I think I agree. P.O.V is not for all. This seems obvious, with an equally obvious solution don't buy P.O.V. movies. But people who enjoy seeing both of the sexual partners have sex are getting less choice than most might think. Even movies that are not officially P.O.V. are moving toward the intentional video dismembering of the male talent. P.O.V. sex (or as I call it, male dildo sex)is bleeding into regular gonzo much more. I hope other studios and production companies remember not everyone who watches porn is male and/or trying to pretend to be the dismembered male talent's body.

- Male Solos HOT or NOT 3/1/2004 12:00 PM Thank you markaudess. We are working on Nuttin 2 with "Latin Inches Magazine" cover boy "TITO." We expect an August release. Good luck to Lucas Entertainment and you on your (as of now) unnamed male solo project. When the project is complete come back and tell us more about it. I'd love to see it.
