  I think Alexandra was the last one to perform underage in the industry. Very controversial when it happened. I don't think she ever regained full acceptance after that. Hopefully she will reappear in MILF titles in a few years.

  Haven't bought one since 1999, but they used to be the best source for the industry prior to the internet. If Jeremy Stone is still inhouse, I would say it is probably still well done and worth the purchase. Porno's version of a yearbook.   Bruce 7 should be given his due. His influence on Stagliano and later gonzo is evident in his post-Vivid, pre-E.A. work for 4play video. Alex de Renzy as well. Not a gonzo shooter but highly influential in moving porn away from storylines and towards the gonzo genre which now dominates. We should also make a distinction from the Amatuer Video craze of the late 80s and early 90s and the popularization of Gonzo by Buttman and Seymore Butts of that same time period. Ed Powers very much belongs to the former and his dirty debs and bus stop series were not really that early in the ballgame. Bobby Hollander made the same type of stuff much earlier, sans the cult following, and it was just as crappy.

  I recall the Evil/Elegant split was pretty personal between John and Patrick back in the mid-90s. I would be interested to know if they ever repaired their friendship? Evil Angel was first and always the best. Bruce 7 is still missed.

  Don't mean to beat a dead horse, but the Anabolic titles were also my faves from this period. I liked Vince's Initiations series on top of all the great Mike John stuff. Somebody mentioned Rosebud. Great wall to wall titles directed by the greatest sex shooter in the history of porn, Alex DeRenzy(Rex Borsky). Should mention that almost all of the best stuff predated the 1997-2002 period you seek. This includes the incredible Nicole Lace who's best work was in 1994-95. Grateful that she's remembered.
