ive had something like this happen. i think the movie was lewd conduct 8 , something like that. anyway, i have an rca dvd player. when i tried to play the movie it would not go beyond the basic loading screen , no fbi warning , no beginning credits , i could see no part of the movie. the player wouldnt recognize the disc. here's the odd part. the disc is two sided with the back contaning previews, etc. that worked fine. ive never had any problems with other discs from the company. i think the simple answer for you is that some discs wont work with some players. the why explanation is not so simple if there is a reason at all. it may be one defective disc or it may be incompatibility. i hate when you cant get a response from a company , ...
