treat the screen like you would a pair of glasses but use less pressure when wiping. Don't use tap water, tissue or a paper towel. They can contain minerals or fibres that can scratch plastic. Try lens cleaner and a lens cloth or you can use <link> if you can find it.

I'd bet it's keyboard and/or mouse. Perhaps a contact on the keyboard is shot or the PS/2 plug is defective. 1) disconnect your existing keyboard and try plugging in a USB keyboard instead 2) Next time it happens you could try opening notepad to see if anything anything appears indicating a stuck key. I don't think it's for anti-theft, they have magnetic strips stuck inside the packaging for that. I think the reason is to give their products better curb appeal thanks to larger more colourful cover art. As a bonus some consumers may see it as a premium or updated version.

The optimal settings are pretty good other than the warm setting being too warm in my room light. I'm really happy with the set and I seemed to pay a fair price for a great tv. I'd hate to feel like poop after spending $2500 on a tv. I'm definitely not pleased with the selection of TV stands at the furniture stores around here.

the tv is set up pretty well. I found <link> that gives me suggested optimal settings. I think the problem with the SD picture is just the errors inherent when expanding 480 to 1080. Not many displays do that well. It's OK though and better than what I've seen on most TVs. I have a Samsung upconverting DVD player and Teagan's Juice looks incredible. My Xbox 360 and HD Digital Cable look great. The only thing I can do to get a better picture is next-gen DVD or buy an antenna to receive the over-the-air HD broadcasts. Good TV. Only complaint so far is no VGA input, but I knew that before buying.

have you checked the manuals at the Dell web site to see if there are any differences? I imagine the only differences might be integrated video, chip set, upgrade options and age of components. LCDs can dim with age and that would be my big issue. For example, if you thought you were getting a "2" year old model instead of a "4" year old model then you may want to do something about it. Price wise it may have made a difference in the bidding. Search completed bids to see if there's a big enough difference in price to justify bitching about it.

We have dipped our foot into the HD waters with a Panasonic TH-50PX60U. Sweet-ass quality for high def content but like all HD TVs merely ok for standard television viewing.
