A little more from AVN today: "Besides T.T. Mr. Marcus was in a ton of Vivid flicks -- he did at least a couple of b/b/g scenes with Taylor Hayes and Billy Glide and he worked with Lexus more than once, including a b/b/g scene that's pretty well known from House of Sleeping Beauties 3. I guess maybe the flack is over the fact that Vivid seldom makes tapes targeted directly to the IR fetish market -- it just occassionally has scenes where people of different races have sex (although these scenes certainl;y often play up the fetish aspects or IR). And Heather Hunter, the first big black female star, was a Vivid girl. I think Vivid takes a lot of undeserved heat here -- the other big feature compnay, Wicked, certainly doesn't push IR as a main selling point, and many of its lead girls...

Before I continue this post -- Devinn Lane rules the world. As a fan, I want see her do whatever the hell she feels like doing that day. But that's me. Now -- I like some Vivid films/performers very much; Vivid has also put out some of the worst stuff I've ever seen. Vivid seems to put way too much focus on how pretty the girls are, and not how well they perform. So, sometimes you get great, gorgeous performers like Celeste, Niki Dial and -- for girl/girl at least -- Janine. You also get unispired stuuf with Alex Taylor, Lexus and later-day Taylor Hayes. I just saw Wicked Sex Party 6, and it's way up on the Devinn Lane b/g hit parade. Four orgy vignettes, one of which feature's Ms. Lane's first full-on b/g/b. Julia Ann is a total freakin' babe. If you get the chance, rent the DVD of Paradise Lost. I was not crazy about the movie itself (why would I want to see a gorgeous woman with metal crap sticking out of her head?), but the behind-the-scenes stuff with Julia Ann is pretty cool. She seems to have a sense of humor and is a grown woman in control of her career and sexuality, which is a major turn-on, at least for me. I'm hoping that "reality" porn continues to make inroads, along the lines of the Shane's World films of late--a recent one (I believe it was installment #33) features Calli Cox, two other girls and two guys in a group scene, and as far as I can tell they were actually having FUN, which seems to be a lost point in most new porn I see. I think the great thing about DVDs is that you should have the option of original sound or various dubs. I'm all for original sound, personally--I get irritated by the dubbed dialog/original sound sex approach, because I'm rather a fan of talking during sex. Woodman seems to direct his actors to only grunt and moan in these films, which seems odd to me. At any rate, I think a company with the budget Private rolls into many of its projects should offer original sound as an option on ALL DVD releases.
