  You shouldn't wave around debate rules when you can't stick to them yourself. You know your comparison between the Sunderlands and the Heenes is misleading. The former is, quite literally, a clan of modern day adventurers while the latter is, again quite literally, a clan of criminals. You also gloss over basic facts. The Sunderlands were first approached by a reality TV producer while, in their case, the Heenes were the ones pestering producers to put them on TV. So, there was no "pimping" as you put it. As far as your concern with making reasonable efforts to keep children safe, have you considered how many unsafe elements of current American society both Zac and Abby Sunderland avoided while at sea? Sex, drugs, peer pressure, ...

  People. Plain reading of the 14th amendment is clear. And if a 'strict constructing' jurist can read his way around that, it just shows how little being a strict constructionalist means. Saying that you'll give them citizenship because its in the constitution but deny them the documents that shown them to be a citizen is not going to pass muster, constitutionally. If you want to change the 14th, man up and change it. Hell, change our official language to Apache for all I care. lets start taking citizenship away from people we disagree with...maybe set up floating colonies for them outside the 200 mile line in international waters. Constitutional rights are there for all of us, even if I disagree with you and what you do. The child, at birth...
