  It takes a lot of money for someone in their sixties to retire to a high standard of living. It takes even more money to do so in your late twenties or early thirties. A top adult performer has probably gotten used to a certain standard of living and unless they want to live at a much lower standard, which some may have no problem with, they need at least some post-porn income. This could be from a mainstream job, setting up their own business, escort work or maybe they marry a well off husband/wife. The marriage route might often lead to a nice divorce settlement as well, especially in a community property state like California.
