I don't post on ADT often, but I just wanted to chime in, since Katja has always been a favorite of mine. First of all, congratulations, Katja, for your educational achievements. I just like the "vanilla" stuff, myself, or at least, that's what many here call it. I like to see pleasure given and received. It does sound lame, writing it out like that, but I don't think it gets said often enough, especially to performers on ADT. Personally, I can't fathom why it's so popular to ask/beg girls to do extreme scenes. I've watched some, and it's like these people can ignore when a girl ...

I don't post here a lot, and I've never posted in Dana's thread before, but it's always nice to have an excuse to say something nice, especially to such a wonderful woman: Happy Super-Belated Birthday, Dana, you continue to get sexier and sexier every year.
  • Why do certain companies still push DVD releases? 5/11/2016 7:41:22 PM
Pretty much all I buy now are the XXX Blu-rays from Vinegar Syndrome. I've done the digital thing, and it doesn't work for me, because it just feels like pissing money away, really. And digital storage becomes expensive when you realize that it's holding nothing of value, which, as a consumer, it does not. I gave up on the membership sites a couple years ago, and I won't be going back. At this point, the only way that I would buy anything new is if it got a Blu-ray release, and since Adult Empire and Score are producing "Blu-ray" titles are using BD-R media (which I won't waste money on, since I could make them at home if I wanted to), I don't buy or watch anything new, really. On extremely rare occasions, I find an online shop th...

No problem, avpv, but at the same time, I'm sure Alena is working hard to give us as many scenes as she can. I didn...

^What are you talking about? We've had a scene from Alena as recently as three days ago (Brazzers), and in any case, Alena herself has no control over when the scenes she shoots are released. Instead of ridiculous complaints, how about acknowledging that Alena is an amazing performer, that her (many) recent scenes have been excellent, and simply leaving it at that?
  • Angela White Official Thread 7/8/2015 11:34:47 AM
Hi guys, I hope Angela doesn't mind, but here is what is listed so far for her in terms of JAV: What we have are two DVDs. One, from a label called &quot;Plum&quot;, will be released on August 1st, 2015, while the other, from a label (apparently) called &quot;Indies&quot;, will be released on September 7th, 2015: <link> <link> (the soap one looks particularly awesome from the trailer) Each of those manufacturer listings contain links to purchase the DVDs, though not all of them will be viewable outside of Japan. The Amazon Japan listings are viewable after an age check, but they won't ship the items to a non-Japanese address, either. What we need are Japan-based friends. If you want to keep tabs on all the titles released in Japan with A...
  • Why did Blu-Ray Fail in Porn? 5/25/2015 8:26:49 AM
shalalin - Since you have made multiple posts, I will try to respond to them all here. You spoke of me a &quot;niche fan&quot;, and while I don't necessarily agree that a format is a niche, porn in particular has been living off catering to niche fans for decades. Everything in porn is niche, it's just that some niches are smaller and less profitable than others. While you may say that Blu-ray porn is too insignificant to cater to at all, I would say that the vast majority of that evidence is dated and unclear at best. For example, as much as I love Blu-ray porn, I only have maybe 20-30 titles from Digital Playground, which is maybe 1/6 of my overall collection. This is because, especially in recent years, Digital Playground content became...

shalalin wrote: Do tell, what would be the financial and physical space requirements for a set of commercially-authored Bluray releases holding the same scenes, compared to a 2 TB external hard drive? Edited by - shalalin on 5/23/2015 2:13:10 PM I'll respond to more of your post later, but for now, if we're talking matching a 2 TB drive of 4K scenes, then that translates to about 40 BD-50 discs, or 80 BD-25s, which, if space is a concern, are easily stored in a disc binder, with room to spare. If we're talking UHD Blu-rays (since this is, after all, 4K content) then I believe the layers will be 33 GB each, so that becomes 31-62 discs. The crucial difference is that I can virtually guarantee that most or all of the discs in the binder will ...

Sorry guys, needed a break. Jacco - I was being facetious, but not in the way shalalin thought. My thinking is that the adult industry is in the position it is precisely because it over-relies on the internet for making money. Again, downloading and streaming are important. but they should not be the only solutions for HD porn. daviangel - The article you linked to is another example of why physical media is important--much is made of the resolution of streaming, but streaming is always outclassed by its optical disc counterpart, and I think it's telling that a well-authored 1080p resolution Blu-ray could be seen as superior to the hyper-compressed 4K downloads and streaming that porn will serve up. Flash - As for Blu-ray declining, there ...

  • Why did Blu-Ray Fail in Porn? 5/17/2015 8:16:35 PM
^Are these the same people who are responsible for record-breaking profits in the pornographic industry in 2014? I don't think so. If the current state of pornographic media was as successful as the heyday of DVD, then in theory, DVDs should be dispensed with, and pornographic companies should simply price their digital content to maximize their profits. Yet, on every site I visit, there always seems to be some way to join for less than the advertised price, and that's because, in the end, the value of digital adult content is, precisely, nothing. Downloading and streaming definitely has a place in porn, but by no means should it be the sole option for something better than DVD-quality.

JigglyBoobs wrote: ^ Plain and simple? I don't think so. The financial crisis didn't cause Blu-ray's failure but it certainly didn't help. It was certainly the single biggest contributing factor. Most studios began Blu-ray releases in 2008, and the decline was obvious by 2010. People seem to forget that 2008-2009 was essentially the debut for Blu-ray as a major player (and it is a major player) in home entertainment. Justifiably coinciding with the release of The Dark Knight on BD in December of 2008, the average consumer started to see value in Blu-ray and begin to switch over. But even as porn was being released on BD, it was extraordinarily difficult to find, and was rarely reviewed, so it's not difficult to see how most people who coul...
  • Why did Blu-Ray Fail in Porn? 5/15/2015 11:31:41 PM
Porn on Blu-ray failed because of the financial crisis, plain and simple. It continues to fail in 2015 because the studios are cheap and shortsighted, focused more than ever on quick influxes of cash, at the expense of producing quality product. One of the things that stunned me about porn on Blu-ray is how the titles that did come out were often shorted extras like bonus sex scenes, or had everything crammed onto one BD-25, while the same title was presented on 2 DVD-9 discs. This was a big problem for parody titles, where the pointless non-sex version was encoded in 1080 resolution along with the extras and the main feature on one single-layered Blu-ray, while the same content was spread over two dual-layered discs in the DVD version. A ...

Hry guys, Just in case Alena reads this thread, I wanted to stop by to say how in lust with her I am. She really seems to love oral and swallowing, which is amazing. It hasn't been mentioned here, but Alena also did a scene for MommyBlowsBest recently: <link> Leya Falcon's fan wrote: I want to know is she married or was married? have kids? I don't know for sure, but she wears a ring in her scenes, and just a cursory look at her Twitter account will bring you to this other Twitter account, which she tweets about many times. If I had to guess, especially based on the profile picture, I'd say this is her husband: <link> It certainly makes sense. Like any other group of people, the &quot;best&quot; ones tend to be married or otherwise engage...
  • Blu-ray movies 8/5/2014 1:27:43 AM
^Not particularly, no. They are missing a huge amount of uncensored Asian Blu-ray titles, all of which are available at AVEntertainments, because they aren't affiliated with that site. Even the ones that are now up at ADE are not listed here. This is the biggest adult Blu-ray market available in the USA, and literally hundreds of these titles released over the past 6-7 years are missing from the ADT database. Likewise none (or very few) of the titles only available in Europe (mainly Germany) are listed, despite ADT having banner ads for Orgazmik, which sells those titles. EDIT: And while the German titles are &quot;foreign&quot;, and might be excused (even though ADT does list some foreign DVD titles). The ones from AVEntertainments are fro...
  • Hustler's Medieval MILFs Bluray not coming?! 6/16/2014 5:40:15 PM
So after hunting around, I was able to e-mail somebody at LFP / Hustler Corporate, and confirmed that the title was shot and edited in 3D, but because of a &quot;production issues&quot; Hustler was forced to delay the Blu-ray (3D) version title &quot;until a later date&quot;. The gentleman in question said he would let me know when they are ready to release the title. So it would seem it will be coming. I just wish Hustler had made that clear from the start. Fingers crossed.

billybob wrote: A friend of mine and I collect porn on Blu-ray and DVD. In his opinion and my opinion Blu-ray porn is dying and DVD is pretty much dead. The only 2 studios that still seem to be releasing porn on Blu-ray appears to be Digital Playground and Hustler. Elegant Angel doesn't seem to be releasing them anymore. Rarely Vivid will release a title such as Star Wars XXX. JAV still seems to be released on Blu-ray a fair bit and some Euro studios such as Oftly Goldwin are releasing some. So if Hustler and Digital Playground end up stopping Blu-ray releases then Blu-ray porn from American studios IMO is effectively dead. To be far, the uncensored Asian titles are coming from US-based companies. And I would agree with you, billybob, if i...
  • Hustler's Medieval MILFs Bluray not coming?! 6/9/2014 6:22:27 AM
So I just wanted to give an update on this situation, which is that I have received no response from Hustler regarding this release and the decision to not release a Blu-ray edition. Unfortunately, the person that is listed at Hustler Video as an e-mail contact is the same gentleman I heard from via GFF, who when confronted with my follow-up message asking him to express my disappointment to Hustler, responded only to direct me to a Hustler Blu-ray sale on AdultDVDEmpire. In looking further, I found the e-mail of someone at LFP Corporate who has yet to respond to me at all after over a week and a follow-up e-mail from me. My messages have always been courteous, so it's very depressing to find that Hustler don't seem to care at all. If they...
  • Why is paying for porn looked down upon? 6/6/2014 3:02:33 AM
The reason that pirating has become an epidemic is simply down to the worldwide stigma of porn. Regardless of how any place in the world views the subject of porn or adult performers or the movies themselves, the people who buy the movies are always horrified to have &quot;them&quot; find out that they do. The technological advances have now made it much easier for anyone to download and stream right from home. No discs or tapes to hide, and computers can be cleaned of offending material quickly, especially if you live with non-technically-minded people who don't know how to find out what sites you have been to and what you have downloaded, etc. The other side of the coin, and why I am largely not able to buy porn anymore, is that the quali...
