  I have acquired a 'rare' NTSC video tape of this, which is supposed to be from the first wave of video cassettes from the late 70's. On my tape, there is a pissing scene near the end. Does this appear on the recent DVD? Secondly, there is a funny jump cut which would normally make you think 'missing footage'. It is just before she steps through the mirror for the first time. A voice says 'he's calling you, you must get dressed for dinner' and then it abruptly cuts to an elevated shot of her walking around the garden. Perhaps it is just poor editing, and has always been that way but I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has the DVD. THANKS

  'The Kinky Ladies Of Bourbon Street' (not the original title) has much of the 'ghostly feel' you seem to be looking for. It's tape only however. Like DMJ, it features the theme of suicide. There is also a adult/horror crossover thing called 'Hard Gore'. I haven't seen it. Why not try 'Nightdreams', a must own film if you like your movies to have some imagination.   The scene in the police station is dialogue only, the other scene which is apparently cut, the photo shoot, is quite lengthy. The Herzog DVD has these scenes in German only, because they were never dubbed in the first place. I have it and would recommend it, and also the first sequel. The packaging is like a hardback book, rather than a DVD case.

  To satisfy my curiosity I have ordered Naked Came The Stanger on tape. This was an educated choice, based on what I know about the cut material. I don't really expect it to be the original cut, but it will be interesting to see. I will let you know. Edited by - MPD on 3/21/2004 11:48:29 PM

  Recently I have been ordering a lot of VHS tapes, because the films I wanted were not on DVD. I understand the DVD version of Maraschino Cherry is poor, but what about the VHS, which one website is still selling? This question would apply to a number of other films too. Is it possible that the VHS contains an earlier edit of the film?

  Are any of the video x pix titles censored? Like Bel Ami, Wanda Whips Wall St, Take Off etc? We need a permanent, detailed thread with what has been taken out. That other thread fails to mention that cafe flesh is edited, amongst others. Anyone have a source for the uncut originals?

  I have the French PP DVD and the entire soundtrack has been changed. Not just the language, but the music too. I don't recommend it.

  Right, I've just watched Parties Fines, and it seems to be edited. There are at least 3 examples, but the most blatant one is the grand finale, where 3 guys empty their balls onto B. Lahie's chest. Although you see the semen on her chest, you don't see the moment of impact. Unless it was cut this way in the first place? But I have to doubt that. There are also at least 2 other scenes which do not have a cumshot at all? Anyone have any comments to make? Athos and cykedout, do you own these titles? Other than that, it's great porn, with some lovely women, just the way I like them.

  Just got my order!!! With a free DVD, Arrogance. It's not something I like, but I can't complain. Will be using them again. Ordered monday night (I think), took two full days with express delivery. Cost 108. Will order more next monday.

  Thanks for the reply. Have you (or anyone else) ordered from adultdvdx before? They don't have as good a selection as Orgazmik, who are the gold standard for this sort of stuff (pity they didn't want my custom). But they're not bad.

  Last night, I placed an order to Orgazmik for 11 European classics, including Bridgette Lahie pictures, and various other 'must-have' european dirty movies. Which I love. Anyway, the numb-nuts have just emailed me saying they want a fax of my credit card, credit card statement, fingerprints etc. My credit card statement will not be due for another 3 weeks, and I don't have access to a fax machine. I was the one taking a risk, not them! So now I'm thinking of hopping on some form of transport and getting them myself, (global village and all that). I have not travelled much in my life (I'm 28), so it will be like mixing pleasure with um, pleasure. So good people, which country do I visit for the DVD'S (they were all Ribu and Blue One title...
