  They will email you when the item has shipped or if the item is out of stock and is either backordered for you or no longer available, stating that you will be sent a free dvd for the inconvienance (usually a sample disk, which I think is a standard part of the reply). If the item is no longer available they ask you to email them directly with details on a suitable replacement at same cost. The only way to check on the status is to email them.
