  Here are some more suggestions: 1) Ask a family member, or a friend, or a co-worker to introduce you to a girl they know. 2) Sign up with a dating service. Online dating service is easy to join and you will be able to at least chat/email with girls who are looking for someone. 3) Pick your favorite activities or hobbies and find a club to join. Less pressure to find a girl, but also depending on the type of activities/hobbies you pick, there may not be any eligible girls. These are my suggestions, take them with a grain of salt since I'm a single 40-something guy without much experience in this area too.

  I'm not the type to socialize with my neighbors, but I found if I say 'hi' to them, they would most often say 'hi' back. All except my next door neighbor who basically drove up in his car one day and told me to go to him even though I was busy mowing the lawn. I had to stop what I was doing and go to him. Then he told me in a commanding voice to fix my backyard fence. Because he said the sagging of my fence is dragging his fence down. He didn't bother to look that it was my other neighbor's fence that sagged.
