  Hey, Jim: Thanks for your advice. You sound like a thick-skinned chap, which I truly appreciate. (I definitely am). I know I came out with guns blazing a little. I must say, however, that I find it amusing that you took this original post in much better spirit than certain easily-offended site masters lurking about. Steph, there may be a fine line between constructive criticism and "my post" (I call that "constructive cynicism," catchy eh?), but I generally fall into the latter category unless I sit back and edit my ponderings while perusing Miss Manners' latest column. And, even then, some people interpret direct statements as vicious commentary. As for "We're not going to ignore the release of a movie because we don't have a review for it...

  Wow! A guy wants to generate a little talk in these forums -- they're just too dead for me -- and look at the response! Yes, that was a fairly cynical post. My apologies if anyone was offended. However, you must realize how such a splashy ad looks to the normal Web surfer. I made the assumption -- and wrongly so, apparently -- that a company would pay for that splash. So I guess Fivestar DVD did not pay a dime to have that link that takes you directly to the "buy me" spot for "Lesbian Cheerleader Sqaud" on their home page? That's pretty amazing. However, Steph, comparing that banner to a newspaper announcing a new Kubrick movie just isn't accurate. No newspaper -- print or online -- puts a link to the "buy me" page from a news article.   Hi. Um, I'm not sure how you could read that post as a "complaint" ... It was a question, that's all. No offense intended, believe me. You get used to seeing one sort of coupon, then see a lesser one, and you wonder ... As for the margin stuff, saki, well, I read that thread a few days ago and these sorts of arguments are all fine and dandy, but, as a TYPICAL consumer, you don't give a darn about a company's margin. Face that fact. You just want the best deals. Companies have the challenge of finding ways to deliver that. And I don't think affordable DVDs are a here-and-now phenom, myself. Anyway, thanks for the posts ... P.S. I feel like these forums are vastly and embarassingly quiet, and I just like to generate a little talk.

  Time for some friendly ranting ... I can't help but roll my eyes when I see a big splashy ad for a video like "Lesbian Cheerleader Squad" on the home page of this site. I mean, if they actually want someone to buy it, how about a review of the movie? And it would need to be an objective review, which might mean that the whole "arrangement" between seller and this site wouldn't work so well, eh? Ah well. "Lesbian Cheerleader Squad" sure sounds good: All new, 18-year-old girls, fresh from the beaches of Florida, now armed with strap-ons? Yep ... the day I see a lesbo vid with a fresh, 18-year-old cast, that'll be the day I actually start believing that there is hope for the porn industry ... By the way, if anybody knows of any such lesbo vid...

  Hi. I've noticed Fivestar does a lot of promotional coupons -- the one for $6 at $30 purchase and $12 at $50 was pretty sweet. But I notice the new one is a rather weak $5 at $50 job. Are the days of the kick-ass Fivestar coupon over? Those coupons really were enticing for me; without them, I'm just not so excited about buying at Fivestar anymore ...

  Hi. OK, this has a happy ending. The guy was for real. He offered to send me another copy of "Buttwoman 97" or let me choose another title. So I did. I decided to live with the sound glitch, plus get a free DVD of "Where The Girls Sweat." It came in the mail today. Elegant Angel's customer service is top notch! I am going to make a separate post about that ...

  Hi. My experience with DVD Overnight has been OK, but a little sketchy thus far. A while back, I rented some vids -- it took about a week to get them. And, later, they e-mailed me about why I hadn't sent them all back, when in fact, I had. Good luck.

  Hey, thanks for your thoughts. DVD Overnight has offered to credit me the $20 if I return it. I'm thinking I will -- even though the movie seems very hot (damn, I love the girl-girl ass lickin', need to find another flick with more of that!) However, out of sync sound just doesn't seem acceptable on a $20 DVD. Any thoughts on what I should get instead?

  Hey guys, Just bought my first porn DVD: Buttwoman 97. I got it from DVD Overnight. The problem is, the sound is not synchronized with the video. It's about a half second off through the whole movie. It's really annoying. Is this just the norm in porn DVD: Crummy quality? Or should I contact DVD Overnight and ask for a refund/exchange? Or is this just an Elegant Angel issue? Thanks very much for your input.

  Well, I just made a rental from DVD Overnight and the 2-4 days amount of time it takes to get the movies is definitely not true. I just got today's mail -- still no movies! -- so it will have been at LEAST a 6-day wait, and that's only if they show up Monday. And, no, I do not live on the West Coast. Bummer.

  Hi. I'm going to buy my first batch of adult DVDs, but was considering Excalibur simply because they claim you can trade any DVD ever purchased from them for a different one at any time for $1 plus shipping. That sounds too good to be true. Is it? Also, do they ship in original packaging? Otherwise, I'm going to order from Five-Star (I wish I could find that $10 off coupon everyone keeps talking about). Thanks!
