Outside of cease and desist letters and the actual filing of lawsuits, I do not know what to do. I have written cease and desist letters and contemplated lawsuits to help protect my clients work. I even found a rental site renting my clients dvd's without their permission. I am not sure what the answer is, all input is widely appreciated.

Thank you Laurie for the help. Fair use and dvd archiving is not the issue. While it is a huge issue and extremely important, I agreed to steer the conversation away from that topic. I am an attorney, and I also own a small copyright business. I handle all kinds of copyright issues. Basically, if the larger adult studios and websites actively started following the path if the RIAA, what would happen inside and outside of the industry?

The question is whether the higher ups in the adult industry feel the need to follow the RIAA an the MPAA. This was my email to adultdvdtalk asking to re-open my thread and re-defining my question: I would first like to thank you for responding so quickly to my email. As you know, the RIAA and the MPAA are very aggressive in the protection of their intellectual property rights. As far as I am ableo determine, the adult industry has not chosen to follow suit to prevent the theft of their property. Copyrighted adult material makes up a large percentage of what is being shared illegally. T...
