You can find us at www.MariesPlayPlace.com Check the DVD/BluRay section and we have BluRays in their own catagory. All our BluRays are encoded at 1080 (16 mb/s) with Dolby Digital Sound and include all the same bonus materials as the DVD versions. If you decide to pick any up, stay in touch and let us know what you think. We're always looking to improve, both in quality and content and value the feedback.
- Help : Blue Ray Porn 8/17/2011 1:27:05 PM Maddy G Productions has offered BluRay versions of all our films for almost a year now. We have 16 BD titles in our catalog. However... they are only available from our site, because our distributor (Pulse) doesn't offer them to stores in wide release. The reason given, is manufacturing costs don't meet demand for BluRay. While DVD's cost under $1 to manufacture, BluRay discs cost upwards to $8 - $10 each. The fault lying heavily with Sony, who charges steep licensing fees for the technology. From our site, we sell as many BluRays as we do DVD's. For the story based 'feature' titles, we often sell slightly more on BluRay. I do agree that there's a 'demand' issue though. Most people tend to have their HD flat screen and BluRay Player (or...
- Bringing Porn Stars to the (Somewhat) Mainstream 1/22/2011 8:12:43 AM In my opinion, what makes an interview with a porn star 'sleazy' has everything to do with the line of questioning. If you ask a star "what's your favorite sex position?", "how often do you masturbate", "how many guys have you done at once?", well... you get the idea. If you want to know what's going on inside her head, then ask her. THAT'S an interview I'd click over to read. - Mark
- Movies like the "Face Fucking Inc." 12/13/2010 7:45:12 AM From Maddy G Productions, you should check out Marie Madison's "Fuck My Face POV" and you'd enjoy her "Oral Servitude" Series also. - Mark Maddy G
- SOME editors of movies are still FAILING 11/11/2010 3:43:11 PM Maybe the chapters are set at intervals, like every 5 minutes. I do that sometimes with movies like "Amateur Hall of Fame", where it's more or less a 90 minute continuous scene (and mostly gangbangs, so there's so much stuff going on, I'd have a million markers if I noted them all). I would bet most editor's author too. So much of the authoring work flow is the same as the editing work flow, it's usually much cheaper to have the editor do it while the footage is still on his system. - Mark Maddy G

Maybe a new series , Nose-Shots ? She Nose Whats Good? In Marie Madison's "Naughty Bits" Series, she has several scenes in which cum shoots out her nose, and also her eyes (separate scenes). I couldn't tell you specifically which one's without doing some research, but there's maybe a dozen scenes like this across the series. - Mark (I work for Maddy G)
- amateur couples and inability to perform 9/28/2010 4:59:38 PM Marston; It happened only once, when the case was that the guy didn't bring his ID, and the couple was counting on the money from the shoot. The girl said she'd do 'anyone else', but that caused a bit of a riff between the two, and we cancelled the whole thing to keep from a fight breaking out. It's odd now that I'm remembering it, but in that same case, the pictures the chick sent to Maddy (and the booking was based on) was prior to her being the 7 or 9 months pregnant that she showed up as. Ready to pop. So, we where all a little thrown off our rhythm there. Maddy told the girl, that she would have no problem shooting her pregnant, but it's the kind of information she needed in advance, because she had written a completely different sce...
- porns with Girls that have coughs or colds 9/28/2010 12:41:31 PM It's actually a pretty big fetish. There are entire 'Clip Download' Stores devoted to it, with the major sites even breaking down the fetish to sub-genre's like "Sniffling". The internet sure did make life interesting for fetishists of all kind. - Mark Maddy G
- amateur couples and inability to perform 9/28/2010 12:38:25 PM It's super common. Our experience has been the same as Rod's - the 'long shoots' far out number the 'easy shoots'. Our solution is that if an amateur girl will only work with her boyfriend / husband, then they are hired as a 'Couple' with the stipulation and understaning that if we don't have a 'finished scene' by the end of the shoot, neither of them get paid. We put a reasonable time limit on the shoot, because a few of them have gotten out of hand, running 7 - 8 hours. If we book a couple for say 4 hours, if we don't get a finished scene, they don't get paid, because as a studio, we take a loss on the crew, location, food, etc. if we end up with nothing we can use at the end. Like Rod's experience though, it's never been a total bust. ...
- Please stop the Porn Parody 9/20/2010 5:40:11 PM Ripping off every pop culture icon to avoid having to do any kind of real writing or having to even think too hard at what they are doing has sadly become the staple of an industry that's just plain gotten lazy. It's sad, really. Like people who think they can play guitar because they've mastered "Rock Band". Sorry fella's, but you can't call yourself a 'writer' if you didn't actually create any part of it. - Mark Maddy G
- Pitch for a new porn series....advice help needed. 9/11/2010 7:48:31 AM My question to hamster is this - if the male talent wasn't you - would you still buy the film? I agree that most guys buying porn only care about the girl, and there's plenty of POV movies with white, blonde girls in them. It sounds like what you're talking about is making a movie that features an indian dude as the main focus of the movie, and those 'male featured' straight movies are (hopefully) a dying breed. Of course, if you've got a truck full of cash somewhere, I'm certain you'll find someone to launch the series with you. - Mark Maddy G Productions
- Girls on Facial Abuse who say they had fun? 8/30/2010 9:15:57 AM I can say, from someone who's had a hand in producing a lot of this kind of content, that 1) There are A LOT of people who enjoy watching it (for probably a wider variety of reasons than any of us can think up) and 2) There are A LOT of girls who enjoy performing these kinds of scenes. As for the question of whether or not this girl or that girl enjoyed her scene, well... the only way to know for sure is to ask her, and then you can take whatever she say's with a grain of salt. This genre or niche isn't widely excepted, and who knows what kind of backlash she might have gotten from friends, family or industry associates between now and then. We can just use our heads here friends, and know that we're not talking about a single scene on a ...
- Stopping piracy. Can multiangle be pirated? 8/22/2010 12:23:37 PM It seems like no matter how these 'piracy' threads start, they always end up as a debate about whether or not 'stealing' is 'stealing'. It's very strange to me that the 'pro-piracy' people seem to be so hell bent on justifying what they do to an audience of readers with such a high percentage of the people who make their living creating and selling the thing they are stealing. This thread started with a legitimate question from a fan, immeditely answered with the myriad of ways in which the product a lot of us spent a lot of time and money creating gets stolen - easily, as the first response points out. So yeah... sorry if some of us take it a little personally. 'Porn' can't be compared with any other industry, because it's different. The...
- Stopping piracy. Can multiangle be pirated? 8/17/2010 11:36:05 AM Mike Quasar wrote: The argument about making something "worth paying for" and people won't steal it is completely and utterly baseless. My nephew is 21. His favorite band is Avenged Sevenfold. He lives for their music. He has never paid for a single song. Ever. Pink Floyd gets illegally downloaded right along side Britney Spears. Excellent point Mike, and very well said. On another thread, I compared 'Tube Sites' with 'Public Performance', and how companies like BMI and ASCAP collect royalties on behalf of musicians for 'free' radio broadcasts, DJ's, and cover bands who play their music in bars. As it was pointed out in reply, the idea would never work for Porn, because Radio is regulated in a way that the Internet never can be....
- How to Stop Tube Sites Part Deux 8/7/2010 11:00:26 AM Back prior to my pre-porn days, I was in a rock and roll band with a little record deal, and a couple of songs on the radio. Every now and then, I still get a check from BMI for like $3, which represents the royalty payment they collect on my behalf from the radio stations. For 'Public Broadcast Rights'. Now, it's got me thinking about Tube Sites. Aren't these sites, more or less the equivalent of a Radio Station, but playing Videos, instead of music? They are 'Publicaly Broadcasting' Video Content, which is illegal under Copyright Law. What BMI and ASCAP (the two primary 'fee collectors' in the music industry) do, is they charge and collect 'Public Broadcast' License Fee's from the Radio Stations, Bars, Clubs, Mobile DJ's - pretty much ...
- Going for broke and letting the parody secret out 8/2/2010 9:40:36 AM oneking wrote: How bad could it be to have a dedicated team of writers, willing to work very reasonably, who can put out a 20-30 page script that's on par with mainstream teleplays? That's what we're willing to do, and we think our stuff is worth a look. oneking, while parodies are NOT our 'thing', we produce many scripted, character driven adult projects, including "Inside Marie's Play Place", which up until very recently, had a staff of writers. (the show went into 'hiatus' for the summer). I'd definately be interested in looking at your writing, there's quite a bit of freelance writing work to be done here. This isn't entirely right. Logic and a basic knowledge of economics say's so, but we're talking about the Porn Industry here. Speaking as someone who works on the Studio side of it, we sell a DVD wholesale for a price. For us, it's usually around $10 - $12. What happens after that is COMPLETELY beyond our control. You might see it for $24, you might see it for $12, and every price in between and beyond. - Mark Maddy G Productions
- customized porn tailored just for me 7/26/2010 8:53:49 AM For certain, Marie Madison does this kind of work. She offer's her 'Custom Videos' delivered in Download or mailed on DVD or BluRay. Prices vary from $150 - $300 depending on the content. Several of her popular series started as 'Custom Video' idea's that were later expanded into full DVD's or long running series. Such as "The Agency", "Smoke Junkies" and "Bubble Gum Fantasies". - Mark Maddy G Productions

Both of you are correct. The law is complicated, and I'm certainly no lawyer, but I meant simply in terms of 'Entertainment'. Documentary's and News enjoy a different interpretation of 'Free Speech' in the eyes of the law. At least in the USA. And the lines are blurry, in the case of HBO's "Hookers on the Point", and MSNBC's "Marajuana Inc.&quo...
