From what I've seen on docs like 'Porno Valley' and many other films, it all looks pretty normal. The valley is huge and mostly residential/suburban. Most action takes place behind closed doors. <link> is pretty good for all the mundane details (my favourite one is Ariana Jollee calling him up to tell him that rite aid were out of baby wipes). Still, it would be cool to hear from some porn valley residents.

There is quite along list of things they won't allow in an R18, it's not a case of 'anything goes' like in the US. Anything appearing to be forced and references to children are totally out. Most films aren't cut that badly though. <link> lists cuts made to all films as well as lots of user comments and news on the subject. If you're not happy about this situation (and the extortionate price of DVDs over here) you can always importing from the US.
