No actual makers of pornographic material contributed to the politicians. All money came from businesses that offer porn in addition to more family-oriented content or services. Among the contributors were cablers Comcast, Time WarnerTime Warner, Cox, Charter, Adelphia and Cablevision; satcasters EchoStar and DirecTV; along with Marriott Intl. and Holiday Inn. Somehow, I doubt that this is going to ruin these guys' careers... Seriously, there's nothing quite like crazy "pro-family" activists to scream about a senator being on the take from the "porn industry" because he gets campaign cash from, of all places, Time Warner.

Considering that a girl in a scene could be from $400-$1000, that seems about right- even if actors are on the around $900 a scene level, they're still going to result in higher costs. Oh yeah, and you're getting gouged too. I think that the internet has yet to drive gay video prices down- many straight videos have similarly high list prices but, unlike gay videos, are aggressively discounted, in my experience.

I think a part of the price has to do with the fact that gay porn has twice as many "expensive" stars as straight porn. Remember, in straight porn, women are paid significant amounts of money (because they're who people are paying to see) while the men are paid next to nothing. In gay porn, people are paying to see both the tops and the bottoms, so you have twice as many people you need to pay real money to in each scene...

I'm another straight guy who likes watching gay porn. For me, it's about what I want to see. Straight porn has an emphasis on girls getting fucked, while gay porn has its emphasis on guys getting off.

I have a couple of the US Male titles. They're among the better bi videos I've ever seen, but that's not saying much (sadly). The performers are all no-name Eastern Europeans in the ones I've seen. Most of them are a 5-7 on a ten point scale. They do have that "Euro" look though, which might put off some people.

I totally agree. I purchased the ones with Aurora Snow and Ariana Jolee (#1 and #9, I think) because I'm a fan of both of them. I'll never buy those again. Compare this to what I was expecting to see, from Kayla Marie's scene in Cumdrippers #6- group action, no cut away for cleanup after one creampie, etc. That, and Kick Ass keeps peddling Mary Carey, the least entertaining porn star in recent memory.
