  I installed Firefox 4.0 (file version 2.0.0.4094) a few days ago. It works great. This is my first use of Firefox, so I can't compare it to earlier versions. I had been using IE8. However, it has increasingly become less-and-less dependable, typically freezing-up as non-responsive three, four, five times a day. Incredibly annoying! Also, as an XP SP3 user, and likely to remain so for quite a while yet, it seemed to be the right time to switch to a browser that supports XP, and seems to be prepared to continue doing so. Immediately, Firefox 4.0 kicks IE8's ass, and has not frozen once on either of my two computers. BTW, both my computers are kept current, patched and updated. I've seen these type of degraded performance issues (i.e. IE8) whe...
