Hello all, I just wanted to throw out a question for all those on the forums. Are conventions a good resource for conducting research on the adult film industry? Just to give you a sense of why I am asking such a question...I am currently a college student interested in researching pornography. Now, I must state ahead of time that I am not truly interested in the aesthetic worth and value of pornography. I am more interested in discovering what factors explain the rapid growth and acceptance of pornography in contemporary America. I apologize if this is not enough information to fully comprehend my question. If anyone is interested, I am currently drafting a research proposal which should be finished by the middle of May....

Hi all, I just wanted to throw a question out there for all who are familiar with adultdvdempire...I noticed that they rank the top 10 adult film studios as followed: 1) Devil's Films 2) Vivid 3) Leisure Time 4) Red Light District 5) Wicked Pictures 6) Zero Tolerance 7) Digital Playground 8) Evil Angel 9) Private 10) VCA So, how are these studios ranked? I am very surprised about Digital Playground not being ranked in the top five...and I am also very surprised about Devil's Films...do they just base rankings on sheer production volume? Or, is there more to it? Thank

Hi, I think the biggest aspect to think of when choosing an Adult DVD rental service is its location. The link Hardware posted shows where most are located. I currently rent from adultdvdempire, and I find their service and delivery time top notch. However, I am located on the east coast and adultdvempire is located in PA, which makes it very convenient for me. I used to rent from excaliburfilms, but they were located on the west coast, so the delivery time was horrible. However, I only mention Excalibur because they have the best selection out of any Adult DVD rental service.
