  usually a lurker but i thought i'd chime in ... to me a prostitute is someone (male or female) who engages in sex for money. to me a porn star is someone who engages in sex for money. i would leave drawing the obvious conclusion to the readers. to me the word "prostitute" is devoid of inherent goodness or badness. it is merely a word that is used to describe an occupation, which is as respectable as any other occupation (except those whose intent is to cause harm to others, e.g. a hitman). any emotional baggage one chooses to attach to this word is his/her own business. and to deem yourself superior to others simply because your job is deemed more repsectable than someones else's is simply another form of racism, i.e discriminat...

  porn is officially banned in most states in australia. on the other hand the authorities by and large turn a blind eye so you can get pretty much anything (as long as it is not extreme such as scat, bestaility, etc.) either online or in sex shops. as far as a local industry i am sure there are a few black-ops style productions around but to the best of my knowledge it is non existent. so we watch mostly american or european porn

  2 things i can see. not sure if they will revitalise the content but they might change the way the industry functions 1. move from movie based selling to scene based selling. let's face it - it's not like the movies (gonzo ones that is) have a connection between the scenes. there might be a theme but it is not a flow 2. move from dvds to electronic distribution. cheaper since you do not have to make and distribute the media. cut the middle man, sell direct. the margins in porn are too low. and they will remain as long as the industry remains a mature, saturated one with little differentiation between products. look at what has been happening to banks. the banking industry is exactly the same. we now have far fewer banks (big ones bough...
