  For a lot of men, transsexual porn is largely viewed out of curiosity. Perhaps for others, it falls short of "gay" material, and therefore seems less objectionable. Still, TS porn represents a relatively small niche in the marketplace. I think the market for bi-sexual (male) porn is even more limited--one either finds it arousing or not. Heterosexual men are unlikely to find bi-sexual porn very interesting beyond the presence of the woman in a scene.

  ^I'm also in agreement. While I think there are some incredibly beautiful Japanese women, I think the most beautiful of Korean women are unmatched anywhere in the world. As for the porn that comes from the two countries, I have little tolerance for the infantile moaning and niche fetishes so common in Japanese porn. On the other hand, commercial production and distribution of explicit porn is still illegal in South Korea.   There certainly seem to be a handful of misogynists in the porn production industry, but using the term "exploited" is needless hyperbole in all but the rarest of scenes. I'm not aware of any instance in commercially-produced American porn in which a woman was forced to participate. I do get the impression that occasionally a scene is more extreme than the actress expected it to be. I think there needs to be a complete and explicit understanding of what will happen in the scene, and no tolerance on the part of actresses, agents, or fans for going beyond that without the prior permission of all involved. Ultimately, porn actresses need to take charge and call-out the jerks in the industry, and refuse to work with them. For example,...

  I think it's a convergence of several factors: to begin with, the social stigma attached to working in heterosexual porn, while still present, has relaxed considerably over the last few decades. Secondly, the compensation is much better than it used to be. Lastly, sexual mores in general have changed significantly--many young women today are comfortably sexually active, whether in or out of the porn industry. The result is that a lot of the women have done a personal cost/benefit analysis, and concluded that the pros outweigh the cons. The standard argument that most women in the sex industry are psychologically &quot;damaged&quot; by abuse/broken homes/etc. is speculative at best. There really isn't any conclusive evidence that women work...

  If condom usage were legislatively mandated, the straight porn industry in the US would be decimated. Few people would watch pornography which uses condoms for all sexual encounters. Consumers of straight porn would undoubtedly look to foreign sources of product and to already-produced material they haven't yet seen. But the biggest source of condom-free porn production would likely be material produced under the legal radar. We know from American history what happens when a product/service desired by the public is made illegal by government mandate. After passage of The Volstead Act, alcohol production didn't end. Today, gambling, prostitution, and drug transactions take place regularly in spite of their largely illegal status. What does...

  To begin with, I fully support the rights of those who work in the porn industry (or any other industry) to control their working conditions. If performers want to go to a &quot;mandatory condom&quot; policy, I do think that is their right. However, I suspect that such a policy would destroy the industry, and take their jobs down with it. Porn is fantasy: in our fantasies, we don't worry about STDs, pregnancies, or social conventions. Condoms do/would, by their vary presence in a scene, inject a continuous dose of reality. Some people might find that reassuring, but I imagine that most fans would be seriously put-off by it. While it may not be an exact comparison, the STD rates in the mostly-condom gay porn industry are likely much higher ...
